When I did the RFL back in the day I got some pretty bad headaches on a couple of the days. Something that helped was the occasional diet soda. I tried to drink a butt load of water which seemed to help as well.
Another thing that was a life saver after day 6 or so (easy until then) was little sugar free jello packs. They’re ZERO cals and are good for cravings and what not.
Just a thought. Are you using your IF 16/8 timing for the RFL too?

Yep, I’m loosely IFing, but it’s not exact. i.e. last night I had a shake of 30g whey at 11:30PM and I ate today around 2:15PM. So I dunno.
I was surprised too! I figured it’d be a good day to try to lift heavy singles since it doesn’t use as much glycogen (not that i have any atm, LOLZ) and is more CNS.

Blaze - thank you sir. I feel like the benefit of dieting like this every so often also is 1) an appreciation for food 2) see how you perform in a “handicapped” state 3) improve insulin sensitivity 4) mental toughness training 5) look marginally better at the end.

jake - thanks dude. Yeah I hadn’t gone past 115s in recent memory (since prob late 2010), and since I didn’t do much “work” on the bench press, I figured I’d try to throw up some heavier DBs (which wasn’t a problem), just for lower reps. On a good day with food these could go up for 10 no prob.

Looked online to see when my source closed, said 9:00PM, I thought “Great, I’ll stop by on my way to the gym at 8 (it’s right by the Gold’s I’ve been lifting at)”. Get there at 8:05… CLOSED AT 8, WONT LET ME IN. NOOOO. So I did all I could, but bubble wrapping isnt that easy by yourself. Some things were ok, but my matterss frame, for example, has all these crossbeams which are semi loose, and blah blah, long story short didnt get any sleep, got up at 7 to get to the store at 8, traffic on the way back, movers called me when I got back, I asked them to push it back, ran out of tape, went to get tape, slkgszkglksglzfgfkg . Anyways eventually got it done, BARELY. Now all my shit is bubble wrapped and the movers should be here soon.
WHAT A FUCKING MORNING FUCK THIS SHIT. Plus I am starving today, look super flat and not lean, and just wanna sleep. A lot to do this morning then hopefully i can catch a lil’ nap before happy hour tonight. At least I’m not lifting.

RFL is my dirty little secret I keep handy. I’ve done it numerous times with good results. Hope it goes well for you…but why are you doing it again??? lol
I’m having as much success doing an every other day type RFL strategy. No refeeds though.

It’s cool man. I’ve had a shitty 24 hours of feeling like crap including a super pointless lifting session. Sometimes life is just a dick. I’m sure things will smooth out.
AFTERALL life can’t be so bad when your comfortably putting up the 125s after benching… after a few sets of incline bench I literally can’t get past 84lb dumbells for flat work… definitely struggling with my goal of “getting to the 110s” (max we have on campus)… I just hate dumbells. Grr

dont worry about the looking flat thing. I dont know if the other guys told you this but you’ll probably go through a few day period where you look WORSE than when you started. I noticed that I looked flat and that my stomach looked kinda squishy and gross (so weird) but it goes away and after the monster carb up day at the end (i ate so many pan cakes) it filled all out and looked better… Just something that I noticed.
