Being a BBer is like an emotional/mental disorder. When you’re all bulked up and strong, you’re too fat…And when you’re all cut up and shredded, you’re too small. I guess that’s what drives us to work so damn hard. I believe that the unattainability of the perfect physique is what keeps us motivated, but also discontent for the most part.
And that shit envelops ALL aspects of my life. i don’t know about you, but I’m never doing AS well as I want in school, I’m never banging a hot enough girl, I’m never doing things to my full potential. I guess some people say that acceptance is happiness, and I agree, but I have a major flame under my ass at all times pushing me to do better, day after day, hour after hour. I guess that’s what makes people like us different from the average dude who just says ‘fuck it’ and eats potato chips all day (no hate to the potato chips).
Sorry for philosophizing your log. That’s what she said.
Improv one-armed cable “preachers” - used my leg as a support. Imagine being squatted down on your back foot, one leg out, using thigh/knee as a support.
Like 4 sets or so.
Where did you learn about these! I have been doing these for over a year now and still get looks like wtf is that guy doing when I do them. Awesome feel, great contraction and pump!
It was sort of a spur of the moment idea, man. I wanted to do cable preachers (I have only done these a handful of times when I worked out at Gold’s one summer, but miss them DEARLY) as a finisher, but bringing over a bench was gonna be difficult, so I came up with it on the spot.
Yeah, they really felt great. Will definitely do regularly.
not really an official deload week, but my lower back had been throbbing from a few week ago’s shitty rack pulling, and last week didn’t feel so great, and lots of hammie work last week left me feeling a bit burnt out. I wanted to hit back, but without deadlift variations, hence the “deload”. It’s also my 531 bench deload (tomorrow), during which time I’m going to really try to focus on form and see if I can get some video footage.
Bodyweight is still the same. I wake up in the ballpark of 205. Can’t wait to get back over 220… god I feel so tiny. At least the haterz be jelly of da veinz when I’m curlin the 20s. mirin
You’ve come hella far man. I just need to try and catch up to your bodyweight, didn’t know you were planning on going up again yet though, going to be tough with you 9 pounds ahead (and 12838lbs of LBM)
Reminds me of my old pic I slipped into my log on like page 2/3/4… “most muscular” @ 135~… I look the bomb
pb - thanks holmes. If and when I start powerliftan this fall, can you show me how to douglas?
cruz - i’d put out BEFORE the first date if it meant getting to be close to you.
jake - appreciate it sir! You’re definitely catching up… expect me to pull out all the stops this winter. That really is the cool thing about the iron game though… it’s such an individual journey. The farther along I come, the more I see that. Guys that I started off with at the same time in our old BOI, well we are all at various levels now, and some of us are good at some things/bodyparts, and others, not so much.
So it’s been interesting to see. Here’s to another 4 years! I’m most excited to see what you up and comers have in store.

Your far too kind my man! I have a long way to go to catch up in reality, whether we are talking size or strength, but I am more then happy to join you in “gettin fat as shit this winter”…(think I stole that from waylanders hub when I checked it one time).
Of course with the strides everyone has taken towards great MDD style diets, we will just be getting hyuggeee as shit instead. I feel like I was a late starter to being a true iron monger… I’m determined to prove you have reason to feel excitement though, I definitely want to be one of the true up and comers. Here’s to how insane we’re all likely to look in four years, and hopefully how succesful we’ll be in all other facets of life too. Us T-men should be more then just lifters afterall, right?
Had my Deload 5/3/1 bench sesh. Weights moved a bit slower than expected, and after 225, I started feeling a twinge in my left shoulder.. Was odd. Gonna do some rehab stuff this week and I’ll be fine. Prob just from 4 days of heavy pressing last week.

That gorgeous girl with the perfect body from last week was there. God so sexy.
The body is so weird. Water manipulation can make you look like a different person. I started looking good last night, woke up this morning look dry and sexy, and looked really good at the gym. Luvin
Stop copying me with progress pictures dood. Props on the awesome transformation though. Question: when it comes time for you to start powerlifting in Boston will you be staying aesthetic or turning into an Anadrol bloat-faced stereotype?
