Bug: Killin It

Too much partying this weekend hah. Havent lifted since last Wed. Worked a lot, and then it was my good friend’s graduation, so we’ve been celebrating. Got in shoulders and arms just now and I feel much better moving a little weight around.

Numbers are nothing impressive so i’m not going to post them, but I’m still alive. :slight_smile:

Blaze, keep hittin those arms hard man! Some of us are never gonna have great, standout arms, but I will tell you that you can get them big as fuck if you keep pounding away.

For the arms, keep eating like a mofo, it will lead to gains in arm size. Since I began seriously attempting to bulk, my arms have gotten much better.

And no, its not fat on my arms, the skin is tight, I carry it in other places.

I took a 45 min study break to have a quick chest and tri session. Didn’t push anything to failure, moved some things around, and it felt pretty sexy.

Did 3 sets and raped that chest boiiiii.

Incline bench (after decline and some h-core pec deck, you can imagine how weak this was haha. Felt crazy good and smooth in my chest though.)

Quick 45 min session again. Final tomorrow, 9AM, ack! Dicked around today.

3 sets pullups

4 ascending sets pulldowns, closegrip. Ended with a heavy set of 8.

T-Bar rows, 3 sets, didn’t go too heavy (5 plates).

Incline DB rows (up to 100’s), 3 sets.

Rope pulldowns, went kinda heavy on these today, felt nice.

finished back with wider grip cable rows.

Skipped traps and rears, went on to biceps.

BB curls, worked up to 145lbs x 6. This is pretty weak for me. I don’t really hit biceps heavy anymore, but I figure i’ll do at least 1 bicep lift a week where i actually try to go heavy in the 4-6 range.

Alt. DB curls, up to 65’s x idk, 9 or 10 per arm.

Rope cable curls, 2 sets for teh pomp.

I caught a quick/very weak leg session on Friday. Was supposed to lift yesterday but that didnt pan out haha.

Today was delts and arms. Weak b/c of partying im sorry please dont kill me. Once everyone goes home shit will get good for about a month.

Only real things worth noting were that I tried barbell military after not having done it in awhile and got a clean 225x5… Rest of delts went well, bis and tris felt solid too. There was a hot girl around so that was sorta motivating? didn’t wanna push closegrip today and got 295 for an easy 5.

Could you give me an outline of what your bulking diet looks like right now? Thanks man.

To tell you the truth, my diet is pretty bad, and I’m lucky I’m not fatter than I am.

Probably the only consistent thing has been breakfast, which is usually a big bowl of oatmeal, a banana, peanut butter, and a protein shake.

For other meals I just try to focus on protein and quality carbs, but that doesn’t always pan out… haha. Also, a big post workout meal is always in there.

Even though it was the day after shoulders and arms, AND went to like a rave-thing last night (dubstep party at this club, was SICK), went in for chest and tris today first thing in the morning (slash noon).

Again, weights are down from max due to suboptimal conditions, but last final is TOMORROW, and most of my good friends go out of town next weekend, so let the good training and eating begin!

I feel you on the finals…I have a speech (gen ed) and computer programming final tomorrow morning, and a calc III final on thursday. Not fun. lol. Should probably get back to studying. Good luck on your Japanese final.

For a really impressive dude, check out ebomb’s log. He puts up some ridic numbers, especially on lower body lifts, and he’s like a year or so younger than me.

Yeah man I lift at Gregory…I actually think I saw you today (kind of easy since you were in the T-muscle shirt). I was the puny kid at the hack squat/leg curl.

I love how empty it is during exam week, but the ratio of asses to people who know what they’re doing is still off the charts.

Apparently chugging 2 energy drinks after 1AM makes it difficult to fall asleep. I didn’t sleep at all last night. Stared at the clock from 4 to 6:30 when I threw in the towel and got up and studied. Test was hard, but fuck it, Im done with the semester and with Japanese forever.

Took a 3 hour nap , then got up and hit some back. I was groggy as fuck and obvi my body didn’t feel great but I had an enjoyable workout. Changed some things around and focused on squeezes and stuff and it was cool?

Warmed the SHIT out of my rotator cuff and shoulders. SO tight from doing chest and shoulders on consec days and not sleeping haha.

Rope stiff-arm pulldowns
4 sets for teh mind-muscle connexshun

Cable rows
5 ascending sets, first 3 warmups with a painfully long contraction and slow eccentric, last workset was as heavy as the machine goes.

One-armed machine rows (never do this thing but felt like being sexi)
Was kinda awkward, but I think I did 3 sets per arm, up to maybe 120lbs for 8-10 reps? odd machine. I wish we had HS stuff.

Underhand pulldowns
3 ascending sets, up to the stack x 10

Barbell rows
135x10
225x6
275x6
315x8 (felt much easier than 275. Amazing what getting into the right mindset will do.)

1 set shrugs, skipped rears today.

Curls on the lat pulldown (hands as close together as possible)
5 ascending sets up to 100lbs I think. Sexy pump/short rest periods.

Hammer curls
55s x 10
70s x 8
90s x 8

And that was it. Going out tonight since most people are peacin out tomorrow, then I’ll sleep. And I got a new mattress cuz my last one blew ass, so im pretty excited to sleep on it tonight.
