I did 48 total at the gym…not all at once sadly.

as far to the floor as i can do without falling over. I’ve got long arms so its not turbo low. actually now that i think about it , i should see how low i go!!

nice job with the 48! I’m trying for a single set of 50, going to do one set a day adding one rep as long as it takes to get there… should be a longish ride there :slight_smile:

forgot to do pushups yesterday…fell asleep! today i got 20

well i was awakened by the hot death of my apartment early tonight so i tried to gym it. i should have waited a day. I didn’t realize until after my first few sets that THIS is why i wait a day after dl’s for fucks sake :{

ALSO some dude was on my rack for my overheads so i didn’t get to do them first . i think these really help to loosen, warm me up and also tighten me up for fronties. blast. well can’t be a party everyday.

fronties bar, 95, 155x15, 155x8,x7, 135 x9,x8 quit. back was saying uh uh. its not hurt, just tight and rather pissed off. i’ll stretch it well. wait a bit to do more stuff.

another mistake was walking Nigel about this time of night. Sure the sun’s down and that’s my kinda thing but SWARMS of skeetos everywhere. i’m sure i’ve been bitten head to toe, hair, face , fucking neck. so gross :{

there’s times im lifting with Molly E at EFS and I ask myself how the FUCK I’ll ever get close to being that strong… its a sonofabitch bc we’re the same weight… makes me wanna try harder.

then i come here and see your training and i wonder how i can eek out a few more lbs… its hard to wrap my mind around 25 more lbs on my dl for reps. (my pr is 305)

That being said, last night at work we took in an abuse case form the cops. A white pitty that looks alot like yours being used as a bait dog. Bite wounds all over, scarred everywhere, very very submissive to the point of being really unpredictable etc. Totally sweat dog and probably going to death row because of his idiot owners.

It took me a lot of thought and consideration to take on a dog because of that–i wasn’t planning on moving, and i prefer pitty and bully breeds! I’ve owned 3 in my lifetime :slight_smile: It just so happened a “mastiff” walked into my life that I just had to go for it.

but not all areas have a ban. The Denver Metro area is not huge, but there are a few counties that have no breed restrictions. and if i get sweated I’m moving with Nigel in toe!

I have a belly situation. as in i need to figure out how to do these push ups right so my belly doesn’t hit first. or i can loose the belly. but the push ups probably will come faster :slight_smile: I’ve watched myself do them and I have got to be doing them like a reject. doesn’t look right, I feel like my arms are so long and I’m miles away from the floor at full extension. like a sixty degree angel form the floor :{

I really needed all the good vibes! I’m a nervous wreck worrying about my baby getting his dental today. he is getting a root canal and maybe an extraction on his canines. He had a busted up grill–broken canines and a slab fracture on his incisor from being swung into the cop car by an overzealous officer who picked him up at the scene of the car accident…good old denver. it’s probably gonna sound stupid, but when training is regular and normalike, (read, not this past two weeks coming back from my time off) after a certain #, shit just feels heavy, and either moves or it doesnt.

145 feels the same to me as 175 and 195 (<-- last one ive done to a 2board), its just there. which is weird to keep adding weight and keep doin it sometimes, but the others tell me that’s kinda how it goes. I’ll get asked how a lift felt, and I’m still not aware of things enough to say something like, “I think my left tricep started tapdancing after the press command” or whatever the fuck they say.

My answers vary between “feels like shit. I wanna do more.” and “feels like shit. cutting that off there.” feels like shit when im doin it, feels way better to look at it after i get up and go “HA! i MOVED you! take THAT!”

I’m lucky here in Denver we have a fraction of the creepy crawlies the south and the coasts have. rare fleas, occasional tick, flies here and there, mosq only in the summer and by the water, and ants maybe. Definably a perk!

Cbear- OH MAN. For me, I feel every added pound of a upper body exercise. Probably because I’m still a newbie for the most part in that area since i neglect it in compared to lower body. One forty to one forty five is monstrously annoying change for me >:(


yesterday night i ended up going back to the gym since i was so nervous over Nigel still. I had slept maybe 2 hours in 24, but i was hardly fatigued running on nervous energy. This is an example of how I’m RIDICULOUS sometimes. I’m one of those people who kinda fear commitment–for me one of the reasons is because i love hard and CRAZY. I get very attached, very absorbed, and freak out imagining how awful its going to be if anything happens to the object of my affection. I get afraid i’ll lose them!–and this alone has kept me form approaching alot of relationships further.

Dogs are no different for me then. SO anyways, his root canal went fine but he had an awful recovery form anesthesia. WAAAAY dysphoric. Poor guy :frowning: But he’s ok, just needs to get snipped and pexy’d and he’s golden :slight_smile:
