DEWIN THE DEW!! I am a lil sad however…i found out the new dew flaovr is that horrible supernova :{ have you tried it? its strawberry melon flavored mtn dew…DISGUTSING. how those flavors could be good together i have NO idea.

I have not tried the new Dew. In all honesty I’m usually a Dr. Pepper man when I do drink soda; the Dewing of the Dew was entirely in honor of your exploits. But! Now I’m curious about the new flavor and will have to give it a go. I’ll try to keep your ringing endorsement of it off my taste buds and let it have an honest shot. :slight_smile:

I don’t like any Dew but the original. But then again, I’ve also been banned from having Mountain Dew by fam because I used to get too hyper. I doubt that it’ll still have the same effects on me, but they’re not taking that chance =)

Kristof, that’s ok, dr pepper is one of the better soda choices…give dew another chance and it probably will win you over:)

Mountain Dew is caffeine free in Canada I think. Dr Pepper is my pop of choice <3

There are some strange laws around soda and caffeine here. I think only ‘dark’ cola like drinks are allowed to be caffeinated or something like that.

I love Irn Bru (a Scottish soft drink) but the version they import has no caffeine and it’s just not the same.

I have to hold off eating for awhile yet for a research study (sigh, soooo hungry), but I’ll see if I can scare up one of these New Dews afterwards.

So we benched. His butt came off the bar the slightest bit on his last single, I told him it didn’t count. He started to get defensive, so I bodyweight squatted a fuzz high and asked him if he would count that as a rep for me squatting a single. He made a face, got on the bench, and crushed it.

Maybe you and Mr. B. Press should take a day or two away from each other. It’s still early in the relationship, don’t want to smother each other (yet). :slight_smile: (I only say that because twice now instead of ‘hooray’ benching days you’ve had ‘meh’ benching days)

hmpf. not feeling it. sleep is all screwed up again-- my body decided on its own and went back to day schedule out of no where yesterday.

ended up staying up WELL past my normal bedtime until 9pm, them waking up at 10:30pm thinking it was later. so now screwed up, but gotta stay awake so i can fall asleep for tonights shift.

Bulgarians 100x10/leg x 2 sets
push press 95x10x3 sets, 105x7x2 sets
tricep extensions w db’s, some kettle ball stuff. that’s all.no umph today.

dew has caffine in it in Aussie / NZ - but the Canadian laws do kinda make sense to me (with respect to parents being perhaps better able to monitor caffine intake of their kids). what got me in the US was the corn syrup in the soda. sugar really does taste so much better. i’m in love with ginger beer. it is brewed like beer but not alchoholic. full of sugar, though.

If everyone is sounding off on soda choices, I’ll chime in on the Dr. Pepper vote. Or Cherry Dr. Pepper.

About sleep and shift work - I’m trying to adjust to sleeping more in general. I don’t need as much sleep as most people. Frequently get about 5 hours. No problem falling asleep, I just wake up super early and I’m wide awake and can’t get back to sleep. I’ve always liked that about myself, but now I’m wondering if it’s effecting my recovery and production of GH.

Brute, I just checked out the pics in your hub. You have an awesome build - athletic. The strongman stuff is amazing.

Dr Pepper is my favorite soft drink. Yum.

I ‘was’ a lab rat, my part is finished as of this morning. squeak of joy :slight_smile: Four miles at a -12 degree incline is not awesome, if you ever wondered. Especially if you’re a fatty who doesn’t run (i.e. me). But it’s for SCIENCE!! so I do what I must.

The push presses are nice, the Bulgarians are what blew me away. Another jaw-dropping feat of strength, likely executed in either supercute stripes or some old school faded type outfit with cartoon characters having fun.

Sucks when your body starts setting its own alarms. I do night work on the weekends, the transition into the ‘normal’ week is awful. Hope you get to lounge and laze around before your next session. :slight_smile:

Puff–thanks!! :smiley: sleeps no joke! --and as a graveyard vampire like myself,it becomes quite an obsession. kinda like how old people become captivated with their BM’s. fellow vampires can talk with either other for days about this,because we usually are up for several days in a row …you run out of shit to do!

But if you feel refreshed after 5 hours, more power too you!! i love waking up on my own without an alarm and just being awake with out batting an alarm clock off. i think that’s way cool you got that:)!

me, when i was a day dweller…years ago…i’d sleep for the USA. Gold metal deep distance sleeper at the drop of a hat right here! now, I can only fall asleep in my own bed, in my own place. …sometime sonly a few hours a day. LIMITING! I can be totally exhausted, but can’t even pass out on the couch anymore–but put me behind the wheel and its anotherscary… story…! :frowning: BOOOO!! it sucks not just being able to recharge my batteries unless i trek home. at least i have a home!

Kristof! what kinda torture had you signed up for? I hope they paid you well! i do like Bulgarians, but they are tricky to balance. that’s the main limiting factor, some days i am lopsided as all hell.
