thanks Cbear–you’repost just showed up now :P! and Cal–sigh. I know i have got to get in and get at least some baseline in for a GP. I have to ask around, most of my friends are in similar situations as in no $ or no insurance and no GP. hmmp.
Time for being a big girl and spending $$ on myself in a good fashion. Eye doctore, GP dr, teeth cleaned…there goes my income tax…oh well.
that’s weird about the aspartame! but it makes sense! I’m heading the slow training advice for sure…one because i don’t have it in me right now, and two–i can just tell if i do go overboard it’ll take me longer to recover…mmph.
today
front squats 135x10x 4 sets
front loaded reverse alt lunges 115x10 total x4 sets
Bulgarians-- out of practice on these, balance issues were a problem 95x7/leg x 3 sets
benching 115x6x4sets, 125x2, 130
some regular squatting but not much, back began to feel odd. I dunno. i need to give those a bit of time. I will later
did misc treadmill stuff for ten minutes then had enough
tried to work on snatch technique but go tone of those suddenly completely over being at the gym movements.i think I shall go back to bed…not enough sleep today.
well,I have just been trying my snatch technique.going through the movements with the computer coach man.:{ I think I might have it. here’s a longish vid of me fighting with the web connection to get the vid to stream.
again its long and msotly to demostrate and share my frustration.

URRHH![/quote]
That was fun to watch. Good for you to try to get the form down in any way that you can. My periodic forays into olympic lifting are much more frustrating. I think it takes a lot of practice to get everything flowing together.
haha! You look a lot diff IRL than in your avatar. I used the same vids to re-teach myself the lifts but I think you need some base to use them because he leaves a lot out. You’ll get it!
thanks Bobbi! oh yeah my avi is a sorta spaced out socialist thing my friend made of a picture of me videos is at home pajamaesque no makeup Brute.
I hope to get it! the more i learn about oly stuff the more i get excited… all my favs…push presses…front squats…overhead squats…mmm movements that make you ESPLODE!
the vid was hilarious! i do really empathize with your frustration, though. i think you are better using that bar than preloaded ones. they taught me lotsa bad habits (having too narrow a grip because they aren’t quite long enough, not rotating my wrists properly since they don’t have rotating sleeves). that was how i started out, but if i could do it over (and was stronger than i was when i learned) i wouldn’t have gone that way. you definitely will get there!
Oh, you are the cutest! It’s wonderful to see you excited about the oly lifting. It really helps having something new and different on which to focus when times are mentally rough.
Hey Brute, I’m going to sign up for the meet. Snap will be all busy with her gear and whatnot. She suggested you might keep an eye on me. I’m not asking you to train me, just maybe pat me on the head, and keep me from entering the men’s locker room by accident. What do you say?
Brute, you’re hawt. And good for you for practicing Oly.
It does look frustrating, and I get discouraged easily, but you’re stronger than me… mentally and physically haha
