Wow it seems starting BOI 2.0 made a few more people eager to join in on the fun. Good thought JB.

I’ll be here with my pulling session (sponsored by Spike) tomorrow, take care all.
Hey!!!You forgot that i was the first one to suggest 2.0…was so frustrated earlier when it took me 5 times to see the thread…

But hey…im just kidding…this thread is my motivation…Hey nice job from JB to open section 2.0…

On a personnal note im going to Newportbeach California jul 19 to 24 for a few days of beaches…So i have to maintain the fatloss mode for another 10days…Then i try to get as big and as lean as possible following a carb cycling approach and probably ws4sb with some twist!!

Also i try to get more involve in the thread to help people…i read almost everything on the web for last 2 years on different site. Im also reading James Chan book(author shotgun method) right now…interresting stuff.

If you wonder why ws4sb…one of my alltime favorite routine, simple, short intense workout, when your 33,busy with work and overnight worker…sometimes 3 or 4 times a week, its just perfect.

I suppose I might as well do this.

Bad workout, abdominal pain discussed in earlier thread got to me… (aka I pussed out.)

A2G Squat:
135 X 6
185 X 6
225 X 6
265 X 3

One-Leg Squats:
115 X 12
135 X 8
145 X 8

Good Mornings:
155 X 6
145 X 8
135 X 8

The good mornings definitely hurt my (?) the most.

Hey Josh do you compete in any sports at all?
Nope, only weight-lifting and I don’t compete in that haha. I played water polo in high school, that’s really it.

Never posted on T-Nation before but fuck it I set a new PR on Deads today

Deads
10x135 lbs
8x225
3x315 (could’ve done more but saved the energy)
1x385 (new PR)
1x405 (new, new PR)

BB Row
5x205 lbs X3

DB rows
5x100 lbs X3

bent over flyes
5x45 lbs X3 (could’ve gone higher)

tried to do a pull up but that didn’t happen

37 y/o 197 lbs currently gaining and a little fat around 18%

I read the first like 40 pages of the original BOI thread and loved it.

I wanna play

Legs yesterday, WS4SB’ish

Warmup - leg extensions and light squats

Step Ups

185 lbs x 12
205 lbs x 10
225 lbs x 7 (gave out early)

Leg Curls

130 x 12
140 x 11
150 x 8

RDLs

315 lbs x 15
365 lbs x 11
405 lbs x 6

Everything felt good. Those step ups are murder.

Did Back yester day morning.

Pull ups/chins 25 reps
Deads 6x4-6 at 315
RDL 4x6-8 at 225
BOR 4x6-8 at 145
Lat pulls 3x6-8 on # 12…what ever the fuck that is, 115 I think
Seated Rows 3x10-12 at 145

Going to do my secondary chest day here in a few hrs when I get off work. Ill put up some #s later

Anyone know what happen to the Animal? Its really a loss to this site that he no longer posts here.

Word is that he left because of some heated arguement that happened on the politics forum.

Its a damn shame, and a reason why i never get into my personal views on a bodybuilding board.

Thats why I stay away from political and religious discussions on here.

And JTG you need to tell her to stop looking at me with those fuck me eyes and tell her to move her damn hands!

Anywho, AINT NOTHEN TO IT BUT TO DO IT!! LIGHT WEIGHT BABBY!!

Thank you for brining this back. Being new I was bummed that the original BOI faded away. It was a great thread.

Felt Great last night and was a little pissed off which is always good.

Finishing CWs TBT

all are 4x8s, superset pairs with 90secs between each set.

BB Hack Squat - 190lbs
Dip - BW+40lbs

BB Bent Over Row - 165lbs
Good Mornings - 175lbs

BB Curls - 75lbs (this turned out to be too light)
External Rotation - 30lbs

Total pounds moved - 27520lbs
I use this as a gauge to make sure that each session is either done with more weight in the same period of time or less total weight in a shorter period.

It never faded away, it was always there man. I could usually find it on the first page of the Bodybuilding or Get a Life threads.

Like JB said, good to see some new blood in here. Hit the jump rope before work this morning for about 15 minutes, felt alright, gotta get into better shape cardiovascular wise. Tonight I’ll hit up the legs, can’t wait.

Stepped on the scale the other day, 242 lbs! Damn, that’s a new record for me, not a good record though. Oh well, shit happens.

I very much dig what this thread is all about.
I am on the last progression of CW’s ABBH program. Yesterday was 10x5 like so:

a1. BB Bench 10 sets @ 165
a2. BB Bent-Over Row - 10 sets @ 165

I’m 5’10" and 173 (and climbing). I know my bench sucks, but it’s always been a terribly weak lift for me. Yesterday’s 10x5 session was the first time I ever felt the mind-muscle connection in my chest. I feel like i really broke through a mental barrier. I’m still jacked about it 24 hours later.

I benched for the first time in a couple of month two days ago and today it feels like my pecs are going to rip right off my ribcage if I move my arms too much!

Shit, my chest is already sore. And the rest of me is pretty worked from rows yesterday and 10x4 deadlift session on Monday.

Days like this I really wish I had a hot tub to sit in for a couple hours.

Welcome to all the people just starting to post here…maybe 2.0 well help to foster a better sense of community here, reminding us of what this site’s all about; a bunch of people working together to improve their bodies, whether it be through strength, fat loss, performance enhancement, or (my goal) all of the above.

Today’s pull session:

Deads:
215x5
265x3
315x2
365x1
415x1
460x2

Chins:
55x13

Barbell Rows(normal overhand grip):
235x8

Horizontal Pullups:
bwx10

First time trying out SPIKE, seemed to work pretty well. Especially considering I hit a 2RM PR on deads after doing deads only 5 days ago, AND flipping all those logs 2 days ago. 465x2 here I come!

Dre how’s the fight to find time for the gym coming lately? Or have you just not had time to post here for the most part?

Happy lifting brothers.

Glad to see more people contributing to this thread.
Im seeing alot of PR’s being made. Keep it up boys.

So that is how I can get my spinal erector to pop like that. Awesome work H4M. Congrats on the 2RM. Stay strong.

The fight is on brother! I’ll admit that I completely fell off the wagon and made some excuses for not training the past couple of months. But I’ll be around here more often and in the gym more often. Gotta get big.

Whats your plan Dre ?

I still think you’re just about the perfect choice to give the V-Diet a go.

What the heck. Can I join in the fun, too?

Yesterdays workout:

Deadlift:
135x10
185x5
225x3
275x1
300x3

Back Squat:
135x8
185x3
205x8
205x8
205x8

Hyperextension:
BW+25 3x10

Ghetto GHRs:
BWx6
BWx6

I want to be big, and strong. I want to learn as much as I can.

So guys I plugged all the food I ate yesterday into fitday just out of curiousity…over 5500 calories. I think I may back off just a TAD on how much I’m eating. I don’t think I need to be getting 5500 calories to grow when I’m only 5’10" ~185lbs.

Going to back it off a bit closer to 4000 calories and see how that goes, I want to gain as much mass as possible, but I don’t want it to be 50% fat lol.

It was a bit heavier on the fat than I thought I was doing aswell, and I am eating fairly clean still too. 287g fat, 300g carb, 460g protein. Glad I plugged it all in to fitday so i could actually see where I’m making errors and what I need to adjust.

Josh, if youre gonna keep your carbs up that high, i would definitely lower the fats a bit, and make sure those are mostly healthy fats, outside of the fats in your whole eggs, and make sure youre getting some healthy fats from nuts, not more then 50 grams of nuts though , maybe some fish oil and try to cook with some EVOO.

Care to give us a sample of what kind of food youre putting down to get to 5500 calories ?
