Got a name, I’ll say something when I see her at the meeting this Sunday.

I doubted him.
Always have, told him time and time again he’ll never amount to shit.
For anybody who doesnt realize it, Cam is like 5"11 and a relatively lean 225 or so, well lean isnt quite the term, but he is nowhere near sloppy, even with all the baconaters he shovels down his gullet.
Kid works hard, and considering he is only 18, to be quite honest, it is almost enough to piss me off.
Ive got a better bench though, and I look much sweeter in my Golds Gym skinny tank top then he would though, so that helps me get through the nights.
Funny thing is if I had been working I would have been slapping him in the back of the head to get him fired up and standing behind him yelling instead of what the other FFC would do.
Good lift twerp.
P.S had to edit out like 3 gay comments during the composition of that post.
Awww, Jared, I like you too.
And that 5’11 comment made me really happy just now.
For anyone who doesn’t realize it, I’m 5’10-5’11 and have a Napoleon’s complex.
Seriously though, thanks Alex and Jared. I figure 2 more cycles and I’ll have a 500+ pull. Then it’s 600 before I turn 20. Then 700 before 21!!!.
Wishful thinking.

I have the absurd goal of hitting a 700lb raw pull by the end of uni, which is in 3.5 years. I figure that if I make a 700lb rackpull happen within my first year of training, I might have a chance. I just need my knees to heal!!!
Vegg, your basically the same age as me.
I just started my first year of college also.

Yeah, I think you’re only like a few weeks older than me. ![]()
What are you taking in college? I’m majoring in geography… Fun stuff…
Mike, you’ll hit 500 lbs before you know it. Stop doubting yourself, eat, lift, and achieve. Nice job on the pull.
Ran 2 miles normal this morning, then alternated sprinting 2 telephone poles and walking 1 for another 1/2 mile. Fun times. Actually I wanted to die. Only gonna get worse before it gets better…but that’s ok with me.
Vegg, Im majoring in design. Fun stuff.
H4M, hell ya. The joy of college life is being able to eat, lift, sleep, and do school work and not have to worry about anything else.
RAWR MOTHERFUCKERS! Today’s Legs - killed it!
Hack Squat machine:
10plates x8 (3 more than last week!)
6plates+25s x20 (30lbs more than last week)
Lying Leg Curl:
120x15, 8, 6 RP
I told myself I was getting at least 7, when I got the 7th it went up pretty slow - told myself fuck that shit you’re getting one more, and I did. Had a friend watch me to count reps, bc when I’m going all out I tend to forget to count haha. He said “holy shit, that’s insane that much weight going that deep”. So that made me happy.
Also ran into someone who I hadn’t seen in close to 6 months and he said “Holy shit man! What you been doing? Juice?” lol
Guys, I forgot to mention… Whenever I’m doing cable crossovers I feel an intense burn in my shoulders, but I don’t really feel it hitting my chest at all. What’s up with that?

2 exercises Josh ?
I know you were planning on cutting volume a little bit and upping intensity with some beyond failure stuff, but is that what you planned when going in.
Well done on the hack, now I know what numbers im aiming for this week.

I don’t get that at all, after my 2 RPd chest exercises when I get to the cable crossovers they totally fuck up my chest. Are you bringing the cables back far enough to get a good stretch in the chest before pressing? Remember the ROM closer to the chest is more important than the locking out.
Are you good at contracting your chest muscles? When I really started focusing on trying to bring my chest up I also started doing a lot more practicing on contracting my chest muscles…the thing that sucks is now I sometimes catch myself flexing my chest when I don’t even realize it. lol

I’ve only been doing the 2 exercises the last 3-4 weeks now…and I’m loving it. Trust me, I do not feel like I’m not doing enough. And I’m progressing fast as hell, legs are getting tons of stretch marks tho. ![]()
I’ve also been getting more brutally sore than ever before in my quads and hams. Basically, it kicks ass. I’m in and out faster, progressing faster, and not dreading leg day as much as I used to. In fact I actually look forward to it now, I daydream about the heavy hack squats and get goose bumps while I’m sitting at my desk at work…lol
Also, I’m sort of preparing myself for the switch to full on DC training which I will do after my gains start to stall on my current program. Only real issue is I think I may have to find a new gym first.

I was using light weight today focusing on stretching at the top and really squeezing at the bottom. I don’t know why I couldn’t feel it in my chest…
I even find that the pec deck causes my shoulders to burn, but at least it hits my chest hard.
Maybe I do need to practice flexing… ![]()
Vegg you might just have to practice that whole mind-muscle connection. Like Josh said, flexing at random times can help, and going light on a regular basis, like you were trying, can help as well, just because of the frequency with which you can do it.

Yeah, I’ve never even given that any thought before.
Another thing is, my chest seems way more developed than my shoulders… Maybe I just need to bring my shoulders up so they can handle the load.
wow today was my first failed attempt at gym in awhile, tried for legs again 3-4 days later just didn’t happen all the weights felt extra heavy
squats
100kgx8
120kgx8
140kgx3
130kgx3
tommorow is shoulders and should be decent hopefully
It felt great to get back in the gym last night.
A1. BB Bench Press
135 x10
185 x5
205 x5
215 x5/5/5
A2. BB Bent-Over Row
135 x10
185 x5
205 x5/5
215 x5
B1. Lo-Incline Smith
140 x6/6/8
B2. Chin-up
bw x5/6/6
C1. Lo-Incline Flies
30’s x12/15
35’s x10
C2. 1-arm DB row
70 x12 (per arm)
85 x15
100 x6 +2 (rest-paused to get 2 more reps)
Notes: didn’t have straps to help hold the DB’s on rows this time, so 15 reps maxed out my grip @ 85#.

@Vegg: Chest out/high, shoulders back(hard to describe) on all chest movements.
Imo just cut those x-overs out if they hurt you, get better at 2 or so pressing movements instead (I’ve never been able to do flyes and the like pain-free)

I think the easiest way to describe the shoulders back would be to try to keep your shoulder blades pulled back together at all times. Don’t let the shoulder blades spread apart and the shoulders round forward, keep them retracted and tight at all times.
