Lol, don’t worry I don’t plan to keep going with the bulk forever. Once my gains start to stall out on this bulk I’m going to switch to maintaining for a while to allow my body to adjust to carrying this weight b4 leaning down a bit. I don’t want to be totally bulked up this summer, I bulked through last summer. lol
Edit: I should add though, I have NO intensions of getting extremely lean until I’ve reached my personal size goal. Would be a waste since I’m definitely not going to be done yet after this bulk and don’t want to risk the muscle loss risks with getting really lean. I’ll probably just try to get back to about where I was BF wise before I started this bulk, keep that going through the summer then start bulking again.

Lol true, Bug I really don’t think you need 3 months of dieting, how lean are you trying to get? Just get some clenbuterol to speed things up. I have some chillin in my room I plan to start taking it once I’ve started cutting and I’m a few weeks in and the fat-loss is moving along nicely, its nice living so close to Mexico - its like a 2 hour drive.

I want to cut about 8% bf before summer, and I was originally planning on gradually dropping cals over a three month period as well as doing sprints and complexes.(In addition to heavy lifting) Is this just overkill?

You’ll have to find that out for yourself, I would never do sprints and complexes
Are you sure you want to cut to 8… You don’t exactly look fat as it is and your training/size gain will suffer… There are ways of keeping bf in check while training normally, though I wouldn’t go that low in bf anyway…

I have no idea what my BF is…I’d guess 16-18%, though I’m totally pulling that number out of thin air. I don’t even really care what my % is, I just want to get reasonably lean before this summer since I spent last summer nice and soft. I just started adding in 30 minutes of fasted cardio every morning except leg day and I’m going to see how that goes, I can already feel it effecting my metabolism and making me feel hungrier and its only the 2nd day of doing it.

I’m actually carrying close to the same amount of body fat as you judging from your pictures. I look lean in that arm shot just because I tend to not store any fat on my inner arms… If that makes any sense.
And yeah, I didn’t mean that I want to cut to 8%. I’ll be happy if I can get close to 10.
Edit: I don’t really give a damn about my body fat right now. I’m just trying to pack as much mass on my pathetic arms and shoulders as possible…

I actually thought my raised flexed arm looks smaller than it is because its on the opposite side of the camera…my left arm (which is my smaller one - holding the phone) looks like its bigger in the pic lol. I posted it mainly bc I thought my back and traps looked crazy. When I saw the pic it was honestly like a “Wtf, do I really look like that now?” occurence. My brain is still used to me being like 160 lbs I swear…I don’t feel big at all yet.
EDIT: Oh and CC I know it really wasn’t even an attempt to “pose” the picture was actually originally taken to send to my GF in response to some pics she sent me last night while I was eating my post workout meal. So I decided to snap a few to send to her before I got in the shower, lol.
Then I ended up really liking the way the picture turned out so she told me to go ahead and put it in my bodybuilding profile.
Despite it not being “proper posing” Josh, you do look really thick in that picture. Just know that after boot camp, I’ll be working twice as hard to catch up.
Something I meant to mention earlier…apparently according to the people at MEPS, I’m only 5’7", not 5’8" like I’d thought I was. Meh.
I also think it would be awesome if all of us in the BOI could meet up and train together and stuff.
