He’s at the Miletich camp too, which currently boasts 2 of the 4 UFC champs. Brock could be scary good. Miletich says in one year he’ll be unbeatable but that’s hype.
Brock does have pro wrestling commitments in All Japan, which will hurt/delay his progress. Hell, it may stop him from doing it 100% seriously.
Here comes the pain ?
Cool, should be interesting to see how he does.
Sonny S. continues to have a scary man crush on Brock Lesnar.
Wasn’t he a wrestling stand-out in college? Seems like I remember hearing that. I don’t know much about wrestling or MMA. How well does that carry over?

No shit. When I first read the thread title I was like “Brock who?”. And I still hardly know who the fuck he is. There are 2 people who can go by first name only on T-Nation in my opnion. Arnold and Arnold.
Yes, he won an NCAA title as a HW while attending the University of Minnesota (WWE’s Shelton Benjamin was a teammate) and I believe he was a 2x all-american…I think with his wrestling background, he could come in and do very well in the UFC’s HW division. He has unbelieveable strength…I think there’s a clip posted somewhere on here of him training a few years ago where he was doing exercises with a log and then jumps into an ice bath afterwards…intense!
He’s going to need work on submissions, as well as his stand-up, but I think if he trains properly, he’ll be champ in the next 2-3 years.
Bob Sapp x 2

how the fuck is Brock going to pass a drug test??
Looks like a chemical experiment (in a good way)

Great video. Thanks.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. Militech couldn’t get big Tim past a test, Lesnar is going to have some real problems unless he wants to slim down a great deal.

He could stop using steroids…?
Ya he threw around a 180lb log like it was a hairbrush
Apparently he is rumored to have signed with K-1 Hero’s (no drug testing there!). Pat has an eye for talent, so I’ll look forward to seeing what Brock can do. If he can learn to strike decent he’d be an animal, probably in the vein of Mark Kerr.
That training footage has some pretty amazing stuff on it. I’ve been thinking the last few days I should start stealing some workout ideas from the contact sports, and I might use some of the amateur wrestling stuff he’s using there.

Well said bro, well said. If he could turn Tim Sylvia into a champion, imagine what he could do with someone that has a lick of talent, great strength, and good wrestling ability. The Mark Kerr reference was spot on.

What ever happened with him and the Ravens? I remember seeing him during a tryout on ESPN. He definately fits the linbacker position depending on his speed.[/quote]
I don’t know about the Ravens, but he tried making the Vikings at D-Tackle and was one of the last to be cut.

He tried out with the Vikings a year or two ago at d-tackle. He had a groin injury and missed some time which hurt him, then he eventually was cut.
