I’m an Indian from India.

But here all I see from student lifestyle is drinking and promiscuity. People drink and cause trouble, physical violence etc and wake up with a hang over regretting it. Or they sleep around, have sex with multiple partners and then wonder why std’s and teenage pregnancies in this country are increasing, it’s disgraceful. Maybe if they’d keep their legs together for 5 minutes, we wouldn’t have such a problem.
[/quote]
Frankly what they do is none of ur concern as long as they are not forcing you to follow their lifestyle.
To bitch abt an entire culture just cause what you see a particular section doing is dumb dumb dumb…
N the scene you just described is common place in India too.
N not just in Mumbai or Delhi but also in so called orthodox places like Hyderabad.
I’m a Mumbaikar, but have been working in Hyderabad for around 2 years now. Hyd is very orthodox as compared to Mumbai.
When traveling in a bus if I happen to sit next to a lady she’ll curl up on her side of the seat just so that I dont accidentally touch her.
But in the same city I have seen a certain section of the people having sex on the roads…I’m not kidding, saw it on new years eve near Banjara Hills- a blowjob in a car n the doors werent exactly closed.
Drunken girls being ‘helped’ get into a car by a semi drunk guy(s).
Not to mention the sms scandals, photographs of Hyderabadi guys grls making out…
Dude…these things happen everywhere…

HA!HA!HA1HA!HA!HA!HA!
When did you move out of India? Oh wait…I guess… around 20 years ago?
Dude, Virginity, irrespective of whether its India or UK, is not a badge of honour.
N why do you just speak abt the british girls lack of honour and dignity? I mean r u bitching abt the grls cause u saw them masturbating …or getting laid with guys?
Assuming its the latter why not speak abt the Brit guys lack of dignity n self respect? After all its their dicks making them pregnant, right?
Typical old style Indian mentality. The men can go n hump all the holes they want. But the women should be chaste virgins…unpolluted physically or mentally.

Neither drinking or sex are worth it, unless you are married or at least in a meaningful, long term relationship.

Live and let live.

If I knew that mainstream English culture and lifestyle was so pitiful and obnoxious then I
certainly wouldn’t have moved here to study. I want to aim high in life, and as such this definitely isn’t the right environment for me.

Then leave. Come back to India. I’m sure the Shiv Sena would welcome you with open arms.
For the uninitiated the Shiv Sena is just one of the many mainstream political parties trying to “save” India from western culture.
To give you an e.g.: they want Valentines day to be banned. On V day these guys organize mobs and attack places holding any kindda v-day theme parties, greeting card stores which carry v-day cards, n also bash up couples celebrating v-day. and I’m not even talking abt shit like couples who make out in public but just couples just hanging out…
or hey! If u dont want to leave then say there…hget some like minded losers and save Brits from screwimg themselves!

Mate, no offense but Indian culture has its problems. To burn women merely because they want to have a say about certain things in a realtionship and to just let all of the very very poor people rot along just because it is their faith dealt by thier “caste” is not exactly better isnÃ???Ã??Ã?´t it?
My point: We should not start judging each others cultures because we all have our own problems.
Firstly - the burnings happened in small village communities hundreds of years ago
Secondly - The caste system was abolished decades ago
Thirdly - You’re from germany. That country and it’s past culture needs no introduction.
Lastly - I am talking here about a present problem which I have personally seen, not some (likely exaggerated) practices from the medieval period.
And it was aimed at brits - do you think Britains increasing binge culture is harming the country in the long term? Its values, ideals etc?

Sigh! Thre caste system is still very rampant in rural India , also in states like MP.
N in the cities too we have a diff caste system…where the so called minority caste is given the upper hand. After independence the constitution of India passed a reservation system where all the so called backward castes would be given certain privileges…less fees for studying…for ege…a course i’m enrolled in righ now is costing the Open category Rs2400. For the so called backward classes its Rs 250.
not to mention all colleges have a certain no. of seats reserved under this category…
same thing for jobs…
