I want you inside me

BORING thread.
OP,
What was your purpose in starting a thread about this? Can you see that it is making you look ignorant, foolish, and hateful? I suspect that you started it based on your newfound (or possibly longterm…) hatred of British people. I will tell you that I completely agree with your views. Excessive drinking and promiscuity are very destructive habits and when a significant portion of a society loses self control in those areas, it can’t be a good thing. I have fought similar battles to what you are fighting now and I will offer you one piece of advice which you are welcome to take or leave: IF it is your goal to try to make change happen, then you have to learn to separate the sin from the sinner. It is ok (even beneficial!) to hate the sin, but you have to learn to love the sinner. Without an honest love for those you are trying to help there is little hope for success in your quest for change. When was the last time you listened to someone who very rudely and hatefully pointed out problems (legitimate problems by the way) in your own life or in the status of your home country? That method just doesn’t work. It’s also a good idea to realize that those of us pointing fingers are not perfect either. A humble and loving approach is appreciated while a selfrighteous and hateful one is ignored.
take it or leave it, its your call

So, would you tell us which aspects of British culture you do like (to show you are capable of a balanced outlook)? Oh and by the way, why are you staying here and how long will you stay, do you think?
Shit the OP’s just pissed off that western society’s problems are more trivial than finding drinkable water. Fuck, of all the country’s to bitch about England it’s some douche from India. India has got to be one of the most destitute, pitiful countries in the world. Everyone with any money or brains moves out of there and heads straight to England or the U.S. If students in India could afford college, they’d all be boozing it up like everyone else. This shit isn’t unique to England pal. It happens everywhere, from China to Japan to U.S. to Brazil. That’s kinda what happens when the students aren’t worried about airborn viruses and disease-ridden water and a scarcity of food.
None of us care about your opinion, please just give us a better rate on our cell phone contract.

Why are indian doctors so good - http://stanford.wellsphere.com/general-medicine-article/why-are-indian-doctors-so-good/501398
Not doing too bad across the pond either -
"The extent to which desis have made an impact in the US was reeled off in the Rajya Sabha ¢?? as many as 12% scientists and 38% doctors in the US are Indians, and in NASA, 36% or almost 4 out of 10 scientists are Indians.
If that’s not proof enough of Indian scientific and corporate prowess, digest this: 34% employees at Microsoft, 28% at IBM, 17% at Intel and 13% at Xerox are Indians."
Notice how all those Indians with high educations and good jobs aren’t in India. That’s because all the smart ones get the fuck out of that shithole country the minute they have the chance. You’re probably just pissed because none of those randy little English dishes will give your third-world ass the time of day. Yeah, Indian culture is real great: grow up, get the hell out of the country and earn an education in some country willing to take you in while you talk shit about a small segment of its culture, never go back to your country, unless it’s to pack your shit for your new job in America, and talk some more shit about our morals. Fuck off you idiot.

Well maybe the lazy assholes here should cut back on beer, kebabs, condoms and other worthless junk. Then maybe you could work for less too.
Why would we want to?? I get to go on holiday abroad 3 times a year. I drive a goood luxury brand car. I own a house that is’nt a shack, and I don’t have to break my back to do it. Oh, and I love my worthless junk that I surround myself with. Because, frankly. I don’t live with medieval religous notions of how I will be rewarded in heaven for my short, brutal, poverty stricken life.
Well considering that india has more billionaires than any other, the number of millionaires are increasing and even middle class families live like kings, I think a lot of that can apply to many indians too. Only difference is that westerners live beyond their means, indians spend their money wisely.
Oh, and wrong religion by the way.
Frankly, I could’nt care less what religion it is. I don’t care that India has so many billionaires. What I care about is the attack you made on my country and culture. As has been said several times already. If you don’t like it then leave.
What you called an ‘attack on your country and culture’ has actually been recognised by your own officials as a very real and serious issue, regardless of you political views -
So stop acting so butt hurt.
You’re just pissed off cause i’m not British, well even your fellow brits (the smart ones) think the same as me; that the booze culture is out of control.
And I don’t care what anyone says. Just because i’m living here, doesn’t mean I have to like every bit of it. There are some aspects of british culture which I do like, but this definately isn’t one of them.

You’re mistaking our press for a bunch of people who are trying to inform you, and not simply sensationalise everything. If you look enough, you’ll find that they also think the following:
1: We are all going to die of Swine Flu
2: All muslims are terrorists, mysoginists, and want to turn us into the Islamic republic of britain.
3: That you will, at some point be murdered by an asylum seeker
Please don’t believe them. They only want to sell papers.
Personally, I think the binge drinking thing has been blown out of all proportion. Most of us started drinking in bars at 15 or 16 years old. Yes, I drank bloody hard throughout University. Then I got a job, and got on with life as normal.
What I’m saying is, it is, and always has been part of our culture. Our social structures were traditionally built around the pub. I think the only differences are that
1: Women now get as drunk as the men, as shown in your pictures, and that is seen as a downward spiral. I could have shown you the same photos from 18 -20 years ago though.
2: The nanny state, now think that this is an awful thing. They want to wrap everyone in cotton wool, and make sure no-one ever experiences anything that is ‘harmful’. You can talk about drink, food, cigarettes, cars, competition, and make that story interchangeable.
I have no problem that you are not British. I work for a foreign goernment, and welcome diversity in all its forms. What I do have a problem with though is people in glass houses throwing stones. I have spent the majority of my life travelling and working in over 30 countries. I would never dream of sitting on one of these boards and starting a tirade about any of those places. Show some respect, and if you can’t say something nice then don’t say anything atall.

viruses? dirty water? lol not for all of us. My uncle is a doctor here so I’ve seen it from both sides, and middle class life in india socioeconomically is much further ahead than middle class british life.
Only difference is that we haven’t lost our cultural values and heritage and become a bunch of morally corrupt whores.
And why are you talking about student binge culture as if it’s a good thing?
I can think of more productive ways to use my time, than slowly poison my body to death every weekend. Screw that.
I for one love drunk passed out girls. Also I am straight edge for the sole purpose of taking advantage of the inebriated. I like to fuck indian chicks in the mouth , so we are like bruthas huh.

Where I am from girls have dignity, self-respect and remain chaste until marriage.
But here all I see from student lifestyle is drinking and promiscuity. People drink and cause trouble, physical violence etc and wake up with a hang over regretting it. Or they sleep around, have sex with multiple partners and then wonder why std’s and teenage pregnancies in this country are increasing, it’s disgraceful. Maybe if they’d keep their legs together for 5 minutes, we wouldn’t have such a problem.
Neither drinking or sex are worth it, unless you are married or at least in a meaningful, long term relationship.
If I knew that mainstream English culture and lifestyle was so pitiful and obnoxious then I certainly wouldn’t have moved here to study. I want to aim high in life, and as such this definitely isn’t the right environment for me.

So you came to the UK to study and take advantage of the education you could receive there, and Indian life is supposedly more advanced? I am not one to bash on culture, but I see a hole in your argument.

Finally this thread has something of worth

Again you’re getting middle class life confused with low class. we do have water, electricity and big houses compared to here.
Also the caste system doesn’t work on a racial basis, so you clearly DON’T understand it.
The whole concept of ‘untouchability’ was created by imperialists to promote their divide and conquer tactics.
