Man I wish I could hang out in here all the time :frowning:

I usually go tailor route. Butt continually 12 inches bigger than my waist.

Also I have had good luck with Levis 515 jeans don’t gap too bad at the waist.

Work clothes all have to be tailored. just slightly so its not too expensive. Pretty cheap to just nip the waist at least.

I’ll play with Cbear,I’ll share my measurements!! The Giant boy I am at that! IN my log in a few mins

I’ll play and take measurements in the morning…

And you can bite my ass Bear.

Said with a smile of course

CBear, maybe we are in the top 5% of the GP and that’s probably why it’s unnerving to begin with. I fully support talking about it rather than pretending I’m not struggling with it. Especially in Europe where size 00,0,2,4 is way more normal to see than in the states. Having gone from a 4 to an I dont know what in a year is kind of a big deal. Putting on a pair of jeans one week, and then coming back the next and not being able to get them over your thigh is a bit of a shocker. This would be totally easier for me, if/when I get used to it as you and Mainy have. You can just go into the store and you know what you can and cant. I used to do that… can can can can… and now it’s fuck fuck fuck fuck. So bitch you better fucking appreciate that this is the whole fucking reason women are scared to lift weights. Right fucking here. Everyone is obsessed with THIN THIN THIN… which we already know is a LIE LIE LIE (echo for emphasis) … BUT that’s 28 years of social conditioning… then daily dumb stares at the gym, and some of us need a period OF ADJUSTMENT to figure out how to not get frustrated when trying to find swathes of cotten to cover our shit while we’re at work. If it was my fucking world, I would be naked or in a toga for most of my fucking day. So don’t get all mad at those of us who need time to accept the new challenges that come with doing the challenge that we ALL love to do.

Im not measuring myself, I dont care.

I’m not sure if I asked you about your glute activation thing yet or not. Could you put more detail about it in your log the next time you do it? Thanks.

As far as needing more food for your lift. Do you mean right before or after the workout, or just more in general?lol. I have read about how what you eat right after the workout effects your next workout. I find being almost hungry is good for sprinting, but not so good for lifting though.

Are you talking about deload(5 days off?) I try to think of it as a chance to practice my lifts. Also my lifts are not in synch with one another so different deload times. Have you thought of changing to this so you always have a lift to work hard at every week?

glute activation warm up…the order IS important

  1. stretch quads - get on your knees - on one knee lean into it and stretch the quad you’re kneeling on
  2. sky humps - get on your back, raise your knees like you’re getting oral sex, then push your vag into his face… pretend he’s like taunting you and you have to really bring your ass up as much as possible to get some tongue. what.
  3. one legged sky humps - keep one leg bent, and point the other one out (keep knees together, hips level) then hump on one leg
  4. stretch piriformis - stretch your ass.
  5. now on all fours do the fire hydrant piss and kick… basically raise one knee up like you’re pissing on the person next to you… then kick them in the face… so kick back, fully extend your leg.
  6. now stay on all fours, extend one leg back and make geometric shapes - really large ones, circles, squares, jane fonda
  7. super man that hoe - good for deadlifts. on all fours, stretch arm out in front and opposite leg out in back. wakes up lower back
  8. jump squats in place

repeat x 2 or 3, 10 to 20 reps per exercise… i usually do 3 x 10 or 2 x 20 reps/move before deadlifts and squats…You can also do one legged squats. sit on something short… extend one leg in front of you. Stand up. This will kick your fucking ass. Actually you should do this. You can find out which leg is weaker.

I took some time off because I had my fucking period and was stressed out at work. Im also doing a phd in molecular biology… so sometimes I have to take some time off from everything to go through my data and reevaluate everything so I dont have to stay here my whole life… I havent thought about rotating my deloads like that. Interesting concept… I think i’ll have to repeat cycle two anyway because I need some more time getting my assistance lifts stronger… and the last sets of main lifts are not perfect. We;ll see. I also have a huge exam in June… so priority might be else where for a bit. I can’t say. but thanks for the suggestion.

I agree Bre…

It takes time for the confidence in the gym to match up with acceptance of our bodies.

seems like you want to say something. g’head, get it off your chest!

period of adjustment… hmmm. if your stuff is fitting differently every week, seems like you’d better make a decision.

looking at your rowing still makes me tired. ugh.

All this measuring talk reminds me of the love song of J. Alfred Prufrock. I love that line, “I have measured out my life in coffee spoons.”

Anyway, here’s the straddle L sit video I made for kimba a few months ago. I’m working on trying to press to a handstand from here. Hmm. Yeah, I can’t get my ass up any higher than that at all.

Thanks for the x-rated glute activation thingy. Cut and pasted.

How much longer will you be in Germany for? Is it basically when you’ve finished your PhD?

welll… nadia is hot…

^ duh. Thanks nads.

p.s. I LOVE this new layout because it no longer looks like Im logged into a porn site. thanks mods.

I’ll do my measurements at the weekend. I’ve beaten myself to death with the body image stick - it’s a pointless and soul-destroying endeavour and I’m tired of it. Life’s too short.
And btw, you have a great ass.

No problem… they say people learn better with analogies they can relate to soo…
yeah basically here in this town till I finish, then the world is once again my oyster :stuck_out_tongue: …and I’m gonna slurp it.

Photos would be great! Nice that you are modelling - that must be a confidence booster.

Bre is chasing ME on her bench! WHOOT! LOL!

And cool about sitting for a sculptor. Bre, that’s awesome.

Keep on boobie flyin’ and sky humpin’. Your log is always entertaining.

EDIT: Why is Nadia’s vid not showing up?

yeah for sculpting and photos. You’ll need to show us the finish work of course!
