BreStruction II

I just got back from a surprisingly FUN :open_mouth: conference…

@Nadia - if you have any advice in these matters, I’m all ears
@CBear - rockets in your ass FTW. i kinda <3 you.
@CHorse - for sure whiteboards!! and you’re RIGHT about the suit… I think I will invest. Next month I’m buying glasses, June I’ll get a suit, as I need to give some “important” talks.
@arachne - sloppy is exactly what I HATE lookin’ like. srs drawback to this clothing situation. I never thought things would be too tight down to the forearms. I’m not concerned about sizes/numbers/scales because I KNOW I look better than before, so it doesn’t matter. I was just shocked at the numbers.
@Beast - husky 4 life :slight_smile: <3
@Nikki - nipples definitely induce “helpfulness”… or make men try to find creative ways to be helpful.

You have an amazing everything

5.3.1 is a good look on you Doll, keep it up.

I try and get lowish cut dress pants where possible. Not showing ass crack short, but sitting on the hips rather than waist seems to fit and hang better. Tops… Are an issue, as you say. Unless you go for things that have some stretch built into the fabric and get them form fitting so they hug your shape. I’ve actually found that synthetics can be a lot better for that rather than stuff I’ve spent a lot of money on that has stretched out weirdly. But mostly I’m kinda fond of the slobby look so dunno…

Anger… So much better for squats than cautious hope with a tinge of optimism. Sigh.

Hey there. Sorry to have missed so much excitement in here. Sounds like 5/3/1 is going well. Nice.

On the subject of work attire: good luck. I’m only 5’2" my waist is a 2 or 4, my thighs (keep in mind that I wear only wide leg pants) are an 8. Just get stuff on the cheap, clearance or whatever and take it in to get reworked by a good seamstress/tailor. I don’t have the luxury of having skirts as an option doing my job. But you could totally pull that off, especially with your dancing legs. Professional but gorgeous.

I like the angry Alice Cooper squats. I always listen to angry shit for my main lifts. Taking out aggression on inanimate metal objects is such a great hobby, isn’t it?!

just go nekkid

5-3-1 - Considering it. Wow, Nadia did great on it, right? I’m 12 pounds away from a BW bench. I want it badly.

I’ve become a lot more particular about fit. I’d rather have 5 nice things that fit me perfectly, than 20 things that aren’t quite right. I can sew a bit so sometimes I can make small adjustments. I also use a tailor for taking in waists on nicer things. The climate here means I can wear skirts and dresses a lot which are usually easier. As for jeans, forget about the big thigh problem, I’ve cracked up sometimes when the skinnies won’t fit over my calves!

Tailor, definitely. Spend your money on a nice pants suit (quality fabric, good construction) and then have it altered to fit you perfectly. Even better if you can get a matching skirt. If shirts are a problem, you can get away with a nice stretchy knit t-shirt underneath a suit jacket if you have to, with some appropriate jewelry.

This will carry you a long way for the shortest money. Don’t make the mistake of cheaping out on the suit…a good one will last you for years into your professional life.

As for the 5/3/1 progression, I only add 1 MEASLY POUND to my bench and MP progressions every month. I do this rather than having to reset my maxes all the time.

tomorrow…

Kimba, you shouldn’t avoid resetting. That’s an integral part of the program. You have to back it down, hit rep prs, build back up, and then progress. 5-3-1 is literally a cycle. Each cycle is a cycle of course, but so is every 6 or 7 month period.
