I wouldn’t imagine those on the German economy would know what this means.
Your back looks awesome and I share your difficult in finding tops. Every fitted top I buy is either tight around and under the arms, or huge on the waist, or both. Grrr. Getting stuff tailored would be nice but I don’t have budget for that.
Upright row is an exercise I wouldn’t really recommend to anyone because it plays havoc with the rotator cuff. If you’ve ever had shoulder pain, definitely steer clear. If your shoulder have always been 100%, then you might get away with it but it all depends on the shape of your acromion, which you won’t know unless you get an xray. Some acromions are roomier than others, basically, so you can get away with more.

If you have a type 2 or 3 acromion, you’re asking for trouble doing upright rows.
Instead I’d recommend power cleans (wider hand spacing means less internal rotation of the humerus, plus it’s an explosive movement that works the traps pretty damned hard), shrugs and farmer’s walks.

If I keep doing this, I will definitely get a few work shirts tailored. The ones that “fit” fit in the shoulders, and then I’m swimming in the waist. The same shit is starting to happen with my jeans. Swimming in the waste, busting out of the thighs. Guess that means more skirts.

I need an xray
I broke my collar bone when I was a wee kid, so I think it fucked my right shoulder a bit. It ‘hangs’ lower, though I noticed that for the past few months, my right bra strap is staying up due to training?.. or maybe thats cuz Im wearing a sports bra every fucking day. Thanks for the warnings. I think I’ll stick with shrugs. I have no idea how to clean correctly. I think I’ll wait until I have someone around that I trust to yell at me.

I’m going to bring back, the fashionable ‘burlap sack’ which has always been fashionable here
look at this idiot.
Abridged Glute Circuit x 2 (squat warm up)
Hip Flexor Stretch
5s x leg x 10
Sky Humps, FAF (fast as fuck) with eyes closed…I felt I drew unnecessary attn)
25
Piriformis Stretch
10s x leg x 2
Fire Hydrant
leg x 10 x 2
Alphabet
leg x geometric alphabet x 1
One legged squats off short bench
leg x 10 x 1
SQUATS
air x 20 x 1
Split squat warm up barefoot; each leg
bar x 10 x 4 …my right toe didnt like to be flexed like this.
air x 20 x 1
reg squats bar x 10 x 2
air x 20 x 1
Put my Reeboks back on and it felt like heaven, but I was also much more connected to the floor, and this was great for my balance, and my toes were happy again. I think I will continue to warm up in socks again in the future.
reg squat bar x 10 x 3
split squats bar x 6 x 1
split squat 22 x 6 x 1
reg squat 22 x 6 x 1
split squat 32,5 x 2 (left ass totally hated that, right one didnt care.)
reg squat 32,5 x 7 x 2
reg squat 42,5 x 7 x 1
reg squat 52,5 x 3 x 2 … If left ass were 100% I feel like I have the strength for double this, but for now I have to take it easy and do a lot of splits until I’m confident that it can take it. I dont want my right side or back overcompensating.
reg squat 32,5 x 6 x 1
split squats bar x 10 x 1 -felt pretty balanced here and nothing hurt, so I decided to call it.
Shrugs…thanks for the rec… my traps ARE totally going to pop from these. I used the same bar I used for squatting. Is that okay? Is there any technique thing I can do with these to make it count more? I’ve got a huge range of motion in my shoulders I can capitalize off of… if necessary/possible.
bar x 20 x 1
22,5 x 20 x 1
32,5 x 15 x 1
42,5 x 10 x 1
52,5 x 5 x 2
42,5 x 10 x 1
32,5 x 20 x 1 this hurt so good.
32,5 x 19 x 1 that I had to do it again.
walked home to 2km squeezing my left glute… I think it’s going to be fine. my hips must be crooked or something or my pelvis tilted because it seems like I really extreme asymmetry in strength and balance. I look forward to correcting that over time. Thanks for being such a supportive forum. See what happens after one beer? I get all emotional. lol.

Lack of toes would defeat the purpose of getting Vibrams…
My right leg is noticeably smaller than my left. I make do, however. Just have to constantly work it, and really use the “mind/muscle” connection. And I can walk straight, although, you’ll see that I do occasionally trip. Sometimes because of things on the ground, or other times…air. I play it off well, though. This is just one of many stories.
Now…carry on with the strengthening of dat ass! ;)[/quote]

your back looks awesome! holy crap about the chick with traps… i’ve been avoiding shrugs because (how embarrassed am i to admit it) i worried about my traps getting ‘too big’… but i wouldn’t be upset if mine looked like that, either ![]()
I’ve seen people do these for their traps:
Or incorporating a fast / explosive shrug at the top of a deadlift (might take a while to work up to that weight, though, lol).
You would be proud, Bre. I actually got on the rower and went to town. It is a Concept 2.

In order to be proud I’m gonna need your split time per 500m, distance and short vid for a form check. Otherwise good job! ![]()

Alexus WTF!!! Don’t worry about ‘parts’ being too big! I’m gonna organize a group therapy session for you and Mascherano and were going to talk about how much we LOVE our bodies and how sexy we feel after coming back fromt he gym…
hmm…Since I’m not trapalicious yet, I’m gonna hold off on fast and explosive with large amounts of weight. When my ass is healed and ready for DLs again, I’ll definitely throw in a shrug or two at the end, this is a good idea. THANKS!
