I always assumed “breakfast foods” were traditionally made up of readily available sources pre-supermarkets and fast food.
Eggs anvailable every morning in the coup, a milk cow, cured meats considering poor refrigeration et cetera. Wives hadn’t had time to stew over a pot all day so the easy pickings became breakfast, and then were embodied by big food companies.
Now people feel funny if you give them a bbq plate at 8am.
I’m back from the gym and actually want to be productive, so here are some quick ideas for the OP that don’t involve eggs or chicken.
Greek Yogurt Parfait: Plain Greek yogurt layered with berries and a sprinkle of chia seeds or nuts.
Cottage Cheese Bowl: Cottage cheese topped with sliced almonds, walnuts, or a few peaches for sweetness.
Protein Smoothie: Blend unsweetened almond milk with protein powder, spinach, and a tablespoon of nut butter.
Chia Seed Pudding: Mix chia seeds with almond milk and let it sit overnight. Top with a few slices of avocado or a handful of nuts. Have a protein shake on the side.
Tuna Salad: Chop some onions, celery, almonds, and apples into the mix.
Beef and Cheese: Cook extra steak the night before and heat it up, add some cheese to hit your macros and do a little green salad on the side.
Tofu Scramble: Sauté crumbled firm tofu with spices and vegetables like bell peppers and spinach. Yeah, I know, tofu, but it’s still not that bad.
Salmon and Avocado Bowl: Sliced smoked salmon served over avocado and toasted oats with a squeeze of lemon and seasoning.
Sunflower Seed Butter with Low-Carb Toast: Pair sunflower seed butter with low-carb toast, bacon or sausage would go well with this.
Coconut Yogurt with Nuts: Unsweetened coconut yogurt topped with a mix of nuts and seeds for added protein. Breakfast shrimp would be good with this.
What happens post carnivore era? I honestly thought carnivore diet died with Liver King? Or maybe I’m missing the nuances here. Wouldn’t it be cool if a “new” intelligent influencer with muscles promoted a high carb diet?
Personally, I’ve always more felt the differences in training stimuli dictating my body composition - rather than the diet.
I realize this is a misplaced, hard to digest provocative post. Belief in preference is stronger than the voice of reason.
I must admit i had to google IIFYM. To me, it seems to be a very appealing way of packaging and selling certainties to the audience. Not that the message is wrong, but it’s a given fact that someone captalizes on. I mean, what is the difference compared to weight watchers?
