For as long as I can remember, my go-to breakfast has been a mix of tuna, chia seeds, porridge, oatmeal with almond milk, and protein powder. I’m looking to switch things up—anyone have good breakfast ideas?
Is there some medical or religious reason you don’t eat eggs?
I dont like eggs or chicken
Steak and oatmeal?
Steak, ribs, pork chops, pork loin, ground beef
I just eat whatever is in the fridge. Dinner leftovers, a sandwich, whatever. Breakfast doesn’t have to be eggs and hash browns.
I always liked (still do) burgers for breakfast.
Same. Especially a bacon burger.
Ever have a Dutch baby? You use 3 eggs in the process (milk, eggs and flour), but can top it with cheese and sausage/bacon/etc.
I use low cal/keto flour when I make them.
(From last weekend, I topped it with an egg)
heheheheheheh,im on a cut for 12 weeks now 12 weeks to go , no way ill even consider thinking of this
clogged arteries for the win!!!
Milk, eggs, cheese and keto flour? What will clog your arteries exactly?
I feel your understanding of biology may be quite limited.
It’s amazing how this was the traditional western breakfast before Dr. Kellogg and his brother broke onto the scene.
Yeah, but he got everyone to quit masturbating, so win?
I have a bro-science theory that eggs became a default breakfast due to having high levels of vitamin b and d.
They do perk you up. They’re packed with everything required to create and sustain life (for a baby chicken).
@T3hPwnisher, you’re more versed in his work than me, but didn’t Dan John have some really good breakfast recommendations? Basically get charged up with a good amount of protein & fats?
Dan is really into things like overnight oats/oatmeal cooked in a slower cooker mixed with kimchi, breakfast salads, lots of veggies, and lean protein sources. He likes to eat AFTER training, using intermittent fasting. His Easy Strength for Fat Loss formula is to wake up, drink a LOT of coffee to free up free fatty acids, train, go for a walk, and THEN eat.
But a dude who really pushed the “protein and fats for breakfast” was Charles Poliquin (RIP), with the “meat and nuts breakfast” idea. Described by Michael Warren here
Charles also was famous for saying “If you’re not 10% bodyfat or leaner, you haven’t earned carbs”
I really miss that guy.
Me too. He set the bar pretty high with some pretty intense practical standards for people that wanted to call themselves strong or athletic. Or lean, for that matter.
I realized I coulda posted what I eat for breakfast…
Metabolic Drive pudding
2 scoops of Metabolic Drive
1 teaspoon of beef gelatin (unflavored)
3 tablespoons of hot water
I also throw some salt on top.
Super simple, gets protein in.
myron shirt… where you get it from ?
