the McD’s thing is kinda neat… what I do is I spend like maybe 12 bucks there every 3 or 4 or some months. With the cheapness of food this will get me so full as to not want me to eat there for another 3 or 4 months hehe… I guess I could bang my head against the wall as I’m eating the fries and dollar burgers to teach myself to associate it with pain… but I like my method.
damn all these eggs… I eat 8 eggs a day already, if I eat some for breakfast that makes 12 a day… I want to get a more varied food supply (need to eat more red meat also) while maintaining my goal of healthyness and general “natural” foodness. Also I’m slowly trying to aim for a paleolithic diet (meat/eggs, veggies and a lil bit of fruit). What happens with me is that I’m such a damn creature of habit, if I were to start frying or grilling food I’d do that for a year at least. So I want to develop healthy habits, and I’m mostly there now.
1 cup Oatmeal, 1 serving Protein powder, 1 banana, 1 apple, 1 pear, water. Or 1 cup oatmeal, cottage cheese, yogurt (all mixed in). In the above the oatmeal is uncooked, if it is cold then good old 1 cup Oatmeal, water, nuke it then add 1 serve Protein P. Hmm which to have this am, decisions, decisions.
How about hard-boiled eggs? You can start them right after you shower, so by the time you wear something decent and do your hair, they’re ready to eat. And while you eat them you can nuke some frozen veggies in the microwave. Or have some fresh veggies precut the night before and have them w/ your eggs.
Steak and eggs. Prepare them any way you like. Remember, this country was founded on two things: meat and war, If you eat enough meat you want to kill somebody.
Michelle, I hear that high heat is not good for Teflon pans. Mine always wear out and I think it’s because I go above “medium” heat.
I like the oatmeal-protein powder deal, which I just figured out recently: Boil water in a teakettle. Measure 3/4s cup instant outmeal into a covered glass dish, add 1and 1/4 cup boiling water. Microwave with lid on for 60 or 75 seconds. In the meantime put 3 scoops chocolate protein powder into a bowl, and add a little water slowly and mix, until you get a pastey glop. Mix that into the oatmeal after it’s done in the microwave.
You want to practice finding the right amounts of water so your oatmeal in not “soup” but enough so that it is not too thick. The whole thing is ready in under 5 minutes. If you want, add chopped nuts or stir in a tablespoon of peanut butter before you mix the protein into the oatmeal. YUM!
It’s really simple, I add a scoop of low carb grow (or any whey protein powder) to two eggs, blend and cook on a skillet like a regular pancake. I top it with 2 tblsp of sugar free jam and eat up. I follow a low carb diet, but you could add in a little oatmeal if you wanted some carbs. With grow, I sometimes have to add a little bit of water to make it thin enough to blend. Let me know if you try it and what you think of it.
ok dude. At the moment, I try to swing at least 100 grams of carbs, 50 grams of protein, and 14 grams of healthy fats. Usually after eating this amount, my muscles strangely become engorged with blood. SWEET! Anyway, a typical morning meal for me consists of nine egg whites with one yolk mixed in. I scarmble it together using a shot of Pam. I then make tacos using two corn tortillas and a tad of salsa. I then slam a bowl of Uncle Sam flaxseed cereal mixed with skim milk, raisins or a banana( but not both), and a dash of Splenda sweetner. If i don’t do the flax cereal, i will have a huge bowl of good ol’ oats and a tablespoon of flax instead. I usually take the oil directly before I start eating my food just to get it over with. Have to admit, I ultimately taste like hell, but is damn good for you.
