I read an interesting forum, where a new bodybuilder was asking advice on his supplementation and his portion of daily calories which he consumes in breakfast. It caught my attention and I will be asking the same thing. His thread was raided by two douches who raided his question by arguing for 2 pages.
My question is should you start your day with 1200 calories and 75 grams of protein (Just an estimate of a large breakfast), or should one be eating 500 to 600 calories, with only 30 or 40 grams of protein. Either way, I would be sure to consume a protein shake after I finish my workout, but I would like some opinions on how you eat on a clean, high calorie, bulk.
My stats are:
17 years old
184 pounds
16 percent body fat
Bench - 285 x 2
Squat - 345 x 4
Dead - 405 x 2
I eat very clean, therefore my breakfast usually is oatmeal and fruit, some whey protein, and a chicken breast, or some baked ham.
Thanks in advance, this is my first post to the board.
EDIT : I am asking ad ice on breakfast because I workout around 6 am everyday.

It really won’t matter. I personally don’t like lifting after eating a huge meal, and like to save most my calories for dinner, so for me I’d have a ‘smaller’ breakfast.
However, that’s literally all personal preference, so do what is convenient, what allows you to perform best in the gym, and overall just what you like (are you hungry in morning?).
I would personally feel like shit if I ate that much before a morning workout. A protein shake is enough for me, and I have my first solid meal (about 60g protein, 75g carbs) post training.
This is also just personal preference. There’s not really a wrong answer here, like young Spidey says you just have to try and see what works best for you.
