Brandon Lilly Injury

I’ve only second/third hand knowledge. I’m not one to say.

Spoke to a pretty knowledgeable sports oriented chiro in the gym. He ventured given that Brandon has had difficulties with depth( USPA requires a below simple parallel squat to pass, and he got redlighted for lack of depth on the previous attempt) that it is possible that the IT Band infrastructure was lacking in mobility. When he tried to find the depth in a ROM he didn’t have, it could have shifted the kneecap to the side over an edge of the joint, providing a fulcrum for the patella to crack over. Pure speculation at this point , of course.

I know a couple other powerlifters who actually know him at least in some capacity. They’re both ladies, and like Sparkle, they hate him. I think he is universally despised by women who know him well enough to know he evidently “abuses the shit out of” women he’s in relationships with.

But hey; I’ve only second/third hand knowledge. I’m not one to say.
I trained with him for 6 months when he was @ Lexen. I’d say I know a very short list of people who dislike him. For the entirety of the time that I’ve known him (around 2 years) he’s been with 1 woman who happens to be his wife now. And I also know her and I know that she wouldn’t tolerate being abused in any capacity. So personally I’m very confused where these claims came from?

I do know that he’s had some rough times before – like anybody else. I won’t elaborate on them because I don’t know the specifics and it’s certainly not my business to do so but I do feel that people can change. So because someone makes a mistake that negates all of the good things they have ever done? Brandon has raised a lot of money for various charities including Relentless and Wounded Warriors… not to mention answering many training questions on Youtube / Facebook. He’s also one of the top lifters in both raw & multiply – who else has been able to do that?

I didn’t want to comment on this thread because I don’t really feel comfortable about commenting on somebody else’s personal life but at the same time I just don’t understand the negativity.

I find this way more interesting than this guy’s drama with women.

im sure 6 months is more than enough time to know someones character fully and with absolute certainty

I’ve never known ANYONE who does AAS or E-blockers, even those that cause dry joints, ever grow so fast that their joints couldn’t keep up. That’s a very misinformed statement.
Since you are an expert in everything lifting related, I will adjust my opinion accordingly. Thanks.

If I had to be in a horizontal position for 24 hours a day in a hospital room I might go insane

I’d probably fap…a lot.
Nothing else to do…
Of course the catheter might hinder my efforts a bit.

I heard from a reliable source that Brandon actually hit on Dan one day after a particular intense deadlift session and that’s why that woman is so pissed.

#nohomo

I know this thread is practically dead, but has anyone seen this?

Even though I am not sure of the intricate details of his injury or surgery, I think it is possible for him to make a come back.

I have never met the guy, but I do like a lot of the points he makes when dishing out advice and writing articles.

I am not sure what to make of all the other unnecessary bullshit that surrounded this event. I guess that the only thing I can really say about it was that it was, well…unnecessary.

Apologies for bringing this thread up and all the yada yada because I like LIlly as a powerlifter, but he’s caught taking people’s Instagram pics and saying there is his own…his credibility is pretty low…this was bout 20 minutes ago.

His credibility as what is pretty low?

Someone that cooks eggs?

He never said it was his… He just posted a picture of a bunch of eggs cooking with a clever little tagline… Are reposts illegal on instagtam? I’ve never used it so I may be missing the etiquette here, but I don’t get what the issue is.

Yes it is but, rarely are things done about it. There is no repost button you have to take a screenshot.

With that said from the photo, tag line etc. it is pretty clear he is passing it as off his own.

It’s not really a big deal, allegedly Brandon Lilly has a past of taking other peoples ideas and using them as his own. Reposts aren’t illegal lol. The pic is him implying those are his eggs he made(because he probably does eat that many). He took the picture down too, if it wasn’t an issue why take it down? Like I said, apologize for bringing it back up, because it’s not that big of a deal, I just found it funny about all the earlier conversations about him, and then I see this

Of all the stupid shit I’ve seen and even contributed to on the internet, this one takes the cake.

He put up those plagiarized egg pics as a cover for his real breakfast–innocent babies wrapped in a burning American flag skewered with an upside down cross!

Where can I buy a collection of your poetry?
