Brain Function Boosters

Not sure if you guys have seen this product, but there is a new preworkout supp called “Jacked.” Anyways is has geranium, Theophylline, caffeine, creatine monohydrate, beta-alanine, and some more.

The ingredient we have spoken about previously has been geranium and this combo is terrific for a preworkout boost. Google if you like or check out the reviews on bulk, most people have nothing but good things to say, I’ve only tried it a few days but gets a big thumbs up from me for alertness, productivity, and wanting to hit the weights all day long.

Good stuff. I’m eager to start learning more about nootropics and all the possible stacks and such.

Just got a bottle of oxiracetam that I ordered a couple days ago today. Anyone ever just taken oxiracetam by itself? That’s all i have and just took a dose of oh i don’t know around 700 to 900 mg. Just guessing because I used a teaspoon and dissolved the stuff into a cup of water.

How long until one feels the effects on average? And is it really true that one can still benefit from the racetams months after you’ve stopped taking them? thanks.

Oxi puts me to sleep after an hour or so.

Provigil’s precursor can be bought as Adrafinil, where it converts in your body into Provigil (moda).

My stack. All input/advice welcome.

30 mg/ed Vinpo

100 mg/ed Provigil (with breakfast)

mid-day 1 or 2 Yohimbine-Free Spike (with lunch)

And a special note of thanks to BBB for all his help!!

Sounds like a good mix for general sharpness. Wish I could afford the Provigil.[/quote]

I thought Provigil was just moda, and that adrafinil, while not being as effective, is a precursor to moda, and that one can easily obtain it via the net.

Correct me if I’m wrong here.

EDIT

I noticed HH said the same thing above.

On another note, I’m getting a really solid energy boost from Superfood.

What is with the Provigil? Narcolepsy? Are you Abe Simpson? lol

Is there an estimate that can show a stated amount of Adrafinil and how much of it converts to Modafinil in the body? For example, how much of 300 mg Adrafinil converts to Moda?

Its Moda B rock, and it is considered by many to be one of the best brain boosting drugs around.

Drawback is one can develop a tolerance. It needs to be cycled.

Ahh I see. I was just curious because after I read that; my girlfriend told me that her Dr. suggested she go on Provigil because she’s always tired and doesn’t sleep right (according to a sleep study she had done). And that it is a “controlled substance”.

Just ordered some Aniracetam from bulk. IF one was to take it with Pira, what would be the dosage for both?

Beat me to the announcement that Bulk Nutrition has aniracetam back in stock.

BBB - What is ‘moda’

A quick google search didn’t turn up much…

but it DID turn this up:

lol

Moda is short for modafinil aka provigil

Hey guys… finally got through this damn thread, LOL. Bar none one of the most interesting and informative here on T-Nation.

So, here’s what I can add, let’s talk sleep stacks:

-Melatonin
-GABA
-Inositol
-L-Theanine
-5-HTP
-Magnesium
-PEA
-Phenibut
-Glycine

Anyone have doses, protocols they’ve found effective?

For me, it’s usually:

2-5g GABA
3g Melatonin
600mg Magnesium Citrate (Look up a product called “Natural Calm”)

And then, if needed:

5-HTP 200mg (I don’t notice any of the aforementioned side effects?)
L-Theanine 200-600mg
Inositol
Glycine 5-10g

Thoughts, any and all? And goodnight, as I’ve just taken my regular stack about 15 minutes ago… =]

Well I would get the girlfriend to get the moda and take it myself

Moda is a sublime substance, better than adrafinil, which raises liver values if taken for too long.

Bushy is right about keeping 5 HTP at 50mg.

I would NOT start just dumping those products down my gullet. Start with a couple at a time.

For sleep, the absolute safest/most natural ones with zero side effects, is L-Theanine and Inositol all the way.

Next, you might want to add phGaba. Just remember it needs cycled. Maybe 5/2 or 4/3, or 3 weeks on, 1 off.

Im of the opinion if your younger you probably don’t need melatonin.

5 HTP is very person specific. Some it works great, some not.

Thanks for the words of caution. Let me assure you that you couldn’t be more wrong about my approach. I added the compounds one at a time, and I titrated the dosages until I found what worked for me.

Also, if you notice, I have my regular stack of only three items, and I add to it as I see fit. I know how I respond individually to each one.

The product I initially bought for 5-HTP is 200mg/capsule, so this is one I did not titrate. I’ll dial it down; I just need to get a different product. Believe it or not, I read the whole thread. What were the dangers, again? Something about poor BBB penetration, so most of the serotonin floods the bloodstream (bad)?

Finally, I second the nod to L-Theanine and Inositol. Similar to how the “noop” (love it, btw) stacks start with vinpo and huperzine, someone who is just looking to relax before bed - this would be a great place to start.

PS - We need a “noop” word for relaxants… LOL

Double post.
