So, this isn’t as hardcore as some of you guys have been doing, but I used to combine Kava Kava tea with Yerba Mate tea. Apparently they are both natural MAO inhibitors, and Yerba Mate has something in it that extends the half life of ATP…or some shit, i don’t quite remember the science behind it and im too busy to look it up.

Anyways, the calming effect from the Kava helps balance out any stim effects you might get from the caffiene, plus the energy from the Yerba Mate is lasting, I never exeperienced any kind of crash. Add in the fact that they are both MAO inhibitors and it made me friggin happy as hell. It actually helped me through a tough time, and helped me study despite my personal problems.

I haven’t read the entire thread (its really long) but I’m wondering if anyone has tried meditating while on the more powerful stuff like adderall or modafil?

Love Yerba Mate…Adderall makes me high as hell, kinda hard to meditate like that.[/quote]

Right on bro! Yerba Mate is the shit. I figured it would be difficult meditating on something like Adderall but thought it’d also make for a somewhat interesting experience haha.

Screw ‘hardcore’ mate, do whatever works for you.

Personally I like a green tea with ginseng, to boost my cognitive powers, but that’s usually on top of other stuff, lol.

I have never really got into meditation as my mind fucks me over. I know the art of meditation is to be able to surpass this, but in my few, feeble attempts to meditate, I never have, lol.

Even so, I can say for sure that I certainly wouldn’t think that modafinil or adderal (if it’s anything like amphet) would be anything other than a huge challenge to meditate on, haha.

Haha, yeah I’ll probably be getting some more tea soon, just because I love the mood boosting effects.

Yeah meditation is tough, I’ve managed to make it a habit though. Consistency helped me get it, even if it was only 5 or ten minutes a day.

It seems like it would be difficult to meditate while being really amped up, but maybe would produce some interesting experiences. You probably wouldn’t fall asleep (one of the problems I tend to encounter.)

Ahhh, my powders finally arrived today.

So I have made up some capsules. Taking 2 per dose, equates to 600mg(200mg) DMAE, 600mg aniracetam (I got my previous dosing wrong apparently) and 30mg vinpocetine.

Took a dose and within 30 minutes, felt much more clear headed and analytical.

Nice!

are you taking this ED? is aniracetam ok to take ED?

Well got my shipment in yesterday

DMAE 150mg
Vinpo 5mg caps
Vitamin D3

In addition I already take Fish Oil and Creatine for Noop’s.

How should I dose vinpo? start low at 5mg and go up?

I’m gonna wait to get used to vinpo before use the DMAE

Will Vinpo or DMAE remove “Brain Debris”?

Any benefit to stacking Ginko with those two?

for vinpo, work your way up to at least 30mg/day. i started out with 10mg for 2 days then 20mg for 2 days then 30mg’s. When i first started taking it i got a little rush of anxiety and i got tired right after taking it with food (no carbs).

i found that its best to take with your carb meals. your supposed to take it with food anyways. anyways, the anxiety and lethargy went away after a week or so.

i love it though! smooth thinking, fast thinking and clearer minded. and when bushy says “unconsious learning” i believe him. its cool. you should throw in some huperzine a too along with some choline.

Yeah start low on the vinpo and only add the DMAE once you have a ‘handle’ on the vinpocetine.

Vinpo inhibits the buildup of lipofuscin in neurons. DMAE may remove it, not sure. I know that centrophenoxine does, plus other stuff, like stimulating synaptogenesis.

Thanks for the response.

Are you using centro regularily?

Any benefit to ginko?

Thanks again bud. I can’t say thanks enough for what a great thread this is. Im re-reading it all again.

I went through a round of Centro last year for about 4 months. Think that was long enough to clean the majority of lipofuscin out or is it better to do a few rounds like that to get at all of that crud?

I second that. Thank you everyone.

…This might be the wrong thread for this question, but what are everyone’s thoughts on 5HTP?

5-HTP probably not much help with anything outside recovering from other serotonergic drugs…

I’ve recently had an incredible interest in nootropics, and I’ve been trying to read up and learn as much as I can about them while simultaneously experimenting.

I am currently taking 10mg vinpo three times a day, and 1 gram of centro in the morning. I’ve got piracetam in the mail, and I think I will be picking up my oxiracetam from the post office tomorrow.

I have a question for anyone taking piracetam and also pursuing any sort of artistic endeavor. There is a little evidence that the racetams increase activity in the corpus callosum, and the corpus callosum has been reported to be significantly larger in musicians than non-musicians.

I wonder if this is very concrete and if it carries over to all the ‘arts’ (writing, drawing, music, etc.) Has anyne had personal experiences? I’m a uni student who paints and writes quite a bit so needless to say I’m pretty excited to try these out.

I tried it a couple of times 2 years ago…a short time after it wore off I was left with extreme anxiety almost to the point of panic.
