Biotest just came out with Rhodiola Rosea. Is this herb relevant to this thread? Anybody tried it before?

I was going to mention this also. I would like to hear if those on this thread have had any good experiences with this or adaptogens in general.

A while back I bought some rhodiola rosea, ginkgo biloba, and maca. Thought I would give the wonderful world of adaptogens a try. I didnt really ‘feel’ anything or really experience any certain clarity or enhancement on health as far as I could tell.

However I am definitely not the most consistent and dedicated tester as I may forget doses here and there. Sounds like there is a lot of info behind the herbs though, and after reading this thread, I think I’m going to stricken up and really pay attention.

Anyways, opinions would be nice as I’ll be out of my stock soon on these and will need to evaluate if its worth another buy. Compared to what I have read on this thread, there are much more potent and beneficial supps out there to give a try. I have never felt the euphoric or intensely concentrated effect everyone describes and it sounds amazing lol.

I was thinking vinpo and ani as a starter as I have never done supps like this, except you all make oxi sound amazing… ah so much information!! a summary like mentioned on pg 36 would be really helpful, especially as relative opinions change as you all continue to experiment with different supps.

I think it’s a mild MAO-B inhibitor which would give effects somewhat like deprynil I’d expect. If that is its mechanism of action it should potentiate and prolong the effects of other stimulants, again much like dep. Be careful though.

An update on geranamine:

Took some with the girlfriend before a hike this weekend, she only took 25mg, I took 75 mg. I could see how people could compare this to other “feely” drugs because we had a real good time together. I would suggest to “get it on” when it kicks in because I think there are some sexual side effects (flacid) after it wears down. Good times to remember.

Anyways, back to the hike, it was a strenuous uphill hike and we were getting our asses kicked. We are avid hikers in good shape, but being at higher elevation around 9,000 feet might have affected us more. I don’t think the geranamine helped out with the energy aspect, but this is the strongest appetite suppressor I’ve taken.

I was euphoric on my drive and we were more touchy than usual, when you are gasping for air though things are a little different. All in all, geranamine has its positives (euphoric positive feeling, higher work capacity and tolerance with alcohol, etc.)but appears to be a once in a while thing for me because I definately feel the crash. Tired body, awake mind, but I cured it by popping a Spike tablet and winning some poker $.

I have to constantly be using caffeine every couple of hours or I’m draggin that night. I also noticed if I take some DMAE it seems to ease the crash. I’ve heard using theanine or 5HTP can also be used in this situation.

My phenibut and bacopa should be waiting for me at home. Music sounds good on geranamine and I also heard it does on phenibut, I have to find which one I’m going to use for the Jack Johnson concert in August, as I have also read Rhodiola works well with phenibut.

Took modafinil, tyrosine and rhodiola before my workout yesterday. It was an insanely good workout. I’ve taken some pretty hardcore stimulants before that weren’t as effective as this stack.

From the post I quoted, looks like Geranamine, Tyrosine and Vinpo would be ok, but I want to make sure. I’m guessing since PS has a calming effect (the opposite of Geranamine) that it shouldn’t be included.

500mg 3% rhodiola powder, 2000mg Tyrosine, 200mg modafinil. It’s a really clean energy. No actual CNS stimulation, just extreme alertness and fatigue resistance. I tend to stay away from caffeine, but I imagine it would be a nice addition to the stack.

Just a note to those who are considering buying from BN with a prepaid credit card. Its best to email them and tell them if your credit card is a prepaid one for electronic use only. Just speeds things up.

I do get a crash from G’mine, though. I’ve never had a bad crash, but it was more the sensation of not being ‘lifted’ anymore. For me, at least, it’s like going back down to 0 on a scale, rather than into negative numbers.

Has anybody had or heard of any problems with using piracetam and gaba together?

I don’t see why there would be any problem at all. However, you might want to take some choline as well. Choline seems to be a good idea to optimize the racetams.

My sister and her son are both prescribed amphetamine salts (adderall) for their ADD.

So I took some too.

stuff is great. I took it 4 days total.
I took a 15mg tab right before I had to do a roofing job…and it was…FUN!.. but the next day–no adderall…and I hated that f-n job.
also made politics very interesting for myself–it normally never is.

it seems like ADDERALL makes anything manageable. anything do-able. …all this “go-getterness” is coupled with an awesome mood. NICE!

How many times have you used it?

I have my momma and poppa on it. My pops says if he is down in the dumps, its not going to drag him out. Its more of amplifying effect. If he is feeling good, he’s going to feel better. If he is feeling bad though… it does nothing.

Oxiracetam, anyone happen to know where I can buy some of this aside from BN? It is sold out and Physician formula doesnt’ carry it.

thanks, it doesnt seem to be having any negative effects so far so its good. i take Power Drive and that has phosphatidylcholine.
