Brain Function Boosters

CRAZY ARRHYTHMIA

Today, in the gym, I experienced my first real bout of atrial fibrilation or ectopic beats, or whatever it was.

I started the day with 2 HRX @ 8am.

took 20mg vinpo, 50mcg hupA, 600mg DMAE @ 9am.

Took 200mg modafinil @ 11am

Drank a Spike Shooter @ 4pm and also had 20mg vinpo + 100mcg HupA.

Went to the gym, started warming up on the heavy bag with medium paced punch/kick combos. After a few minutes I began to ‘notice’ some strong cardiac contractions. So I paused, removed one glove and palpated my right carotid artery.

I felt some extremely powerful but irregular beats, interspersed with lighter faster ones, but with no real rhythm or rate to them.

I mean I’ve had arrhythmia before, but this was/is another level totally.

I did do a little bit more exercise, but when it became apparent that it was not exertional-based, I decided to stop for safety.

As I sit, typing this, the problem is still here. I’m not worried though. It will resolve itself by tomorrow morning.

I believe it was the combo of modafinil, Spike and huperzine A, exacrebated by exercise that triggered the abberant beats.

I have had similar effects before, but it usually limits itself to a few strong, irregular beats before settling down to normal rate and rhythm.

I did say to the missus befopre she went to work “I don’t think I’ll be dead when you get home, but if I am, you can have the house”. She wanted to take me to work with her, but I said that I would rather have the heart attack thanks

All joking aside, this is not something to be disregarded. However it’s not something to become concerned with either, since it has known triggers which can be avoided in future.

take good care of yourself bushy!

you are one heckuvaguy - need more of you around here…or anywhere for that matter…

hope your arrhythmia has resolved itself…

Sounds like over stimulation, excess dopamine overactivity can trigger adrenaline to generate the “fight or flight experience” or/and ventricular contractions, it just the body’s own fight back mechanism. By taking this kind of drugs we don’t know the real level of exhaustion we are in until the side effects kick in… don’t forget that we are amateur bodybuilders, working out does cause even more dopamine release… the high/euphoria feeling after workout might be caused by this !? Dopamine is responsible for the heart beat and much more, long term stimulant abuse might cause dopamine dysfunction…

Yesterday I discovered that D4 Receptor overload might trigger myocardial contractibility !? Have you more information on this bushi ?

As for me, I’m returning to my normal state except the days I workout hard. Yesterday I was crazy enough to hit my new bench press record %!"#123, my chest is sore like I never felt before… woke up in the middle of the night at 4am with mild arrhythmia, this same thing happened like 3 times straight so I decided to get up… I think I’ll just skip weight lifting until this gets sorted out… :\

Other side effects I felt : Soft short migraines and muscle contractions on the legs.

PS : I’m taking valerian extract now…

hello all,
I am currently looking into all the nootropics. As with all things I am trying to exercise moderation. I have decided to just start out extremely small with just the use of Power Drive and Superfood. While researching the ingredients I found that the DMAE in Power Drive has been identified as leading to decrease in life span, decreasing creatine synthesis, and decrease in synthesis choline synthesis. What are your experiences and is this accurate or is the jury still out on the long term ramifications? As far as the Superfood, what have your experiences been if any? Thank you for any information. Also I am 26 years of age.

Hi, I’m sorry if this has been discussed already, tho I do no recall seeing this topic: does grapefruit juice potentiate the affects of nootropics? If so, which ones? I am currently taking anaricetam, dmae, choline, and vinpocetine. thank you!

Been taking vinpocetine for the last month or so. After reading this thread it seems you feel the effects more over time. I have a stand alone vinpo supp and then I have also recently been taking fat burner and a NO supp just to sample them, but they also have vinpo in them.

I think I am definately getting a mental alertness with vinpo, definately subtle but noticeable and not jittery at all. It’s nice and I would recommend it. One thing I have noticed is things seem brighter, especially at night. The TV, my laptop, street lights. I was wondering if anyone else saw things brighter? Its not too bright and not annoying in anyway, but noticable. I think vinpo helps you get more oxygen in the brain, maybe this has something to do with it. Any thoughts?

Thanks for all your insight on this thread Bushy, it has opened my eyes to vinpo and some other things.

yes, yes, thank you Bushy for all your input/insight - i’ve been on vinpo for about a month now - i noticed the same thing about the sight. another thing that i’ve noticed is my hearing - more acute, i can even hear my cell phone in my purse on the seat next to me over my blaring radio - never could before.

where was this stuff when i was languishing in college???

Yesterday i took my stack, but i forgot the L-huperzine and added 500-750 mg of oxiracetam and less aniracetam than normal but they were all coming from my bulk powders ( not my pre-capped form).

i was so euphoric, this was crazy, but i was able to enjoy music while doing 2 homeworks at the same time while getting 100% at both and talking to 2 people at the same time and drinking tea.

one of the best nootropic experience ever.

today i did the same thing, but i ditched the oxiracetam and i added L-huperzine and had no feelings at all, but i drinked 4x more tea so more caffein.

can L-Huperzine inhibit the nootropic effects of other nootropics?

Can stuff from neutraceuticsRX be less powerfull than Bulknutrition stuff?

is the mix Piracetam-Oxiracetam-Aniracetam this much powerfull then ani and piracetam together?

i will retry my oxi-stack tomorrow while writing my philosophic essay on differences of thinking on evolution between Sartre and Rousseau, i’ll update on this.

but an answer to all my questions would be really helpful ^^.
Thanks

Thank you bushidobadboy and all. All this information is amazing.

Oxiracetam > everything

i did the same mix but with more oxiracetam then the last time and added 300mg of DMAE + 120mcg Huperzine A.

The effects were disturbing because of the oxiracetam, too strong, almost high.

but i didnt felt the long lasting feeling of last time, mor 45 mins of INTENSE stimulation.

Ok, so ive been reading this thread quite a bit an was wondering where would be the best place to get Oxiracetam in capsule form? As well I was wondering what would be the most effective dosing protocol for Vinpocetine(3x10mg?)a day, along with a dose of Spike and Oxi for intense sessions.

As well i was wondering what can be taken for a sustained period of time like the Vin. I was thinking of beginning the Vin and perhaps Piracetam during the school year (Sept-May) and Oxi and Spike during exam time or where intense period of study are needed.

What do you guys think?
