Brag's Powerlifting Journey

@guineapig I will be so proud if at least one of us can hit this goal. @kckfl349 must be pretty close as well at this point. I need to check out more of the logs, been pretty busy with work lately

I’ll just tag u if anything happens

@guineapig @idontbrag123 I can’t say your right :sob::sob: my bench has always been a struggle for some reason. I’m maxing May 16 whether my meet is on or not. If I can hit a 10 pound PR on bench I’ll be happy. I got a plan moving forward though

Is this program written for runners? if it is, then be careful, it could be too much.
But seems like you’re doing fine, so keep up the good running Brag.

@mortdk good to see you my man. Hope all is going well! Yes it’s written for runners but there is the option to dial is back to 4 days a week, which I think I will do. 5 days burns me out pretty quickly right now.

Great run today. 5km with a few 25 meter all out sprints beforehand. Ive ordered this speed watch which links with your phone and supposedly is extremely accurate for sprint times (100m dash etc). Excited to start posting some times on here.

Excited to see them posts.
And to see if it works…

First trial with the Jawku watch. Have to say, I’m not impressed in the slightest. Numerous disconnections during the warmups. I ran 8 warm up sprints, only 1 time was recorded. Needless to say I couldn’t trust the app. Customer service has been pretty solid so far, they actively reached out to schedule a call to sort out the issue, so I’ve been impressed by that.

Tis the truth. On another note, the itch for lifting has started creeping up again. You’d better hit that 315 bench soon brah

Lol I’ll wait for u.

1 mile timed test. Around 7:55 for the mile followed by a 1 mile cooldown. No way I could come close to this starting out so that’s encouraging. Been noticing Pete rubish putting out more vids lately, he’s even got a video with Hickson in it out now that he’s out of prison. Looking forward to watching this one

2x1 mile at 9 minutes per mile, 90 seconds rest
1 mile cooldown

Rewatched Westside vs the world. The itch to lift is real

Covid buzzcut time. I have to say I’m liking it so far. Super convenient.

8x200m intervals of running with another 20 minutes of jogging

Been going insane due to the inability to lift heavy weights. Turns out the answers been right in front of me the whole time. Landlord has a pull-up bar that she never uses, I finally found a place to fix the thing.

Aiming to work up to 4 sets of 8, then I’m adding weight in a backpack.

I don’t think I did them long enough to get any real benefits. However when I did them I always had insane upper back doms, would definitely give them a try.

45 pull-ups, sets of 5. Started failing reps about 7 sets in.

45 pull-ups again. Went for sets of 6 but definitely not strong enough to carry that through yet. Going to keep it at 5 next time
