Brag's Powerlifting Journey

I am actually left footed. I’ve always been a pretty decent tackler as well with a bit of pace so naturally I fell at left back. I actually prefer CDM over LB I just don’t have the technique to beat out the current player here

Wherever I play I just kick people

Still alive, just been going for solo runs during this quarantine. Haven’t weighed myself in awhile but I’m guessing I’ve dropped a bit of weight. Aiming for 4 20-minute medium intensity runs per week.

When the gym opens back up I’ll be hitting some maintenance upper body

Do push-ups. Ur big head is plenty of resistance or get someone to sit on ur back

Tim Cahill brah. Big head means I’m lethal off the corner kicks. Btw who is Australia’s main player these days

rn probably Aaron Mooy or Matthew Leckie would the best active player

Yea I remember watching Aaron Mooy for Brighton this season. Quality player

Still alive, been pretty active lately actually. I’ve ran quite a bit for the last 2 weeks. I’m guessing I’ve also dropped a bit of weight as well. Maintenance has been limited to 100 pushups in as few sets as possible along with 4 sets of ab rollouts, twice a week. Running 4-5 times a week at the moment.

Interval runs today 9x400 with 3 minute breaks. Definitely felt a lot easier than last time. Probably need to start reducing the rest time.

Not much to report, 5km run in around 30 minutes with the soccer ball. Going to hover around this pace for the next week or two as it’s not comfortable enough for me just yet.

Put in a pretty hard run today, 3.2km in about 16.5 minutes. Felt pretty solid, and felt like I was getting stronger as the run went on. Could’ve knocked another minute off if I really gave it everything. Aiming to bring this down to around 14 minutes.

Strength is definitely through the floor, no doubt about that. Ill rest easy knowing that strength generally comes back fairly quickly when you focus on it. Where’s that 315 bench brah??

Went for the usual 5km run, what felt like a tiring pace last week felt very easy today.

Went for another 5km run, feet felt like cinder blocks. Lungs were fine but my legs refused to move. Definitely under recovered today. Going for another long run tomorrow as per the program but probably going to ease up on the pace.

I’ve been following this 8 week 5km run program written by a pretty reputable coach. It’s 5 days per week of running which is a lot for me. Gonna need to manage the fatigue
