i wanted to see if there are any boxers on this site and what your diets are like,anyone?
I used to do some boxing and all I can say is that my coach stressed staying a couple of pounds away from your fight weight year around but we had a guy who would cut 10-15 pounds to fight.
Are you doing matches? If so pro or amateur? If your fighting pro you might have a little more space to cut but if your fighting amatuer, you may have a fight every weekend or two.
Anyway not to rant but look up t-dawg 2.0 diet and modify it with some more carbs if you feel lack of energy when training. Best of luck man.
Lots of whole wheat pasta and steak and eggs and beans with whole grain toast in the mornings.
Wash it down with raw milk.
That pretty much was my diet when I used to fight.
I was one strong mo fo too(still am).
Or atleast thats how us irish boxers do it.
just eat a clean normal diet except that you need alot more carbs to fuel u…low carb diets do not work for boxers…while i like to be as cut as possible i go by…A nice paint job on the car would be nice, but we really care about the horsepower under the hood
