Boxing and Weights, Possible...?

hey ive been boxing for around 10 months now and am going to be fighting in amature ranks soon, im just wondering if theres any way of mixing boxing and doin weights to get some size? plz gimme some tips/advice as im unsure wat to do

yeah, have you ever seen rocky. Just get you a bunch of rocks and run in the snow.

Boxers need to focus on stamina and strenght rathern than size.

take time out from boxing to gain the weight properly.

I doubt that it’s possible unless you’re a heavyweight. If you want to get stronger while you’re lifting, you have to eat a lot. I was a light heavyweight, and it was hard as hell for me to make weight consistently. There’s no way I could’ve stayed at 178 while lifting.

Also, training for boxing’s pretty tough on your CNS, so if you add any serious lifting to your routine, you’ll be overtraining.

im 17 and about 72kg and 1m 80cm (soz i dno in lbs and feet im from Australia).

Do you think itll be smart if i try to put on more size and box at the same time? Do you think i need to increase size at all ?

Power movements like cleans, jerks and snatches can help you punch harder.
