Al,
I remember for a while there was serious momentum to the warrior-diet style of eating, is that happening at all or was it too extreme?

Your an amateur right? fights are 3-4 3 minute round? Thats a total of 12 minutes. Granted you will have more than one fight, but you should have plenty of rest in between bouts.
In your last training session, you worked for almost 80 minutes. I don’t think conditioning is going to be an issue. You have more than enough wind.
One thing, you mentioned that you were gassing out during the last part of your workout.
Focus pad, and heavy bag work is for working your technique. If you are tired, you will more than likely get sloppy, and practice poor technique.
I would dump the 20 minute jog, and do 2-3 rounds of shadowboxing for a warmup.
I would then follow with your heavy bag and pad work. Six rounds seems a little much, 3 should be plenty. Unless you are seriously lacking in power, you should not need a lot of heavy bag work. I would rather do more pad work myself.
I would finish with the sparring. If you are tired when you spar, the it will make you focus on your technique. The better your technique, the less energy you expend.
Don’t let your training run you into the ground for a 12 minute fight. If you go in strong, you can end it quickly, and then conditioning really won’t be an issue.
“If you go in strong, you can end it quickly, and then conditioning really won’t be an issue.”
That’s a sweet sentence on so many levels.
Good thread, keep posting your daily routine. I agree with KO that the jogging could be dumped. The first workout you posted you were doing 10 X 300…jogging can’t compete with that and with the interval training you’re doing, which is specific to your competition, the longer work is just a waste of time. If anything I would guess you’re notice an increase in endurance when dropping it as your recovery will increase.
WOW, good stuff fellas. Unfortunately the jogging aspect of my training is not controlled by me. But by my coach, he almost always requires it, and he’s old skool so saying “no” will get me fired.
The interval work I do it on my own, I design it on mondays, therefore I know what Im doing ahead of time. Renegade Training also happens early in the day. I took this morning off, I’ll post practice tonight once Im done.
The Warrior Diet, it’s great, but it’s tough to get started, I’ll definately try and follow it starting next week. Right now I’ll start cutting meals and work up to the one feast at night. I really think it worked tremendously last night.
thanks fellas,

practice was stopped short for me for the fifth straight time, rotator cuff and wrist problems still occuring. Pain is very sharp now, no way of avoiding it by certain motions on certain punches.
CONTIMPLATING ON RETIRING, PAIN IS AWFUL, FOLLOWING MORNING, LIFTING A GALLON OF MILK IS PAINFUL!!!
