Box Squats: Load on Erectors?

pemdas, do you have a link to your vids? i’ve also tried cable ab pulldowns, but i think i did them wrong-i was on my knees bending at the hips and archin gmy back. felt load on my quads :frowning:

Someone write this on a piece of granite because its precisely correct. The box does catch you in a way. I sit much further back on a box than I do without one.

i tried sitting back more, but my shins still aren’t vertical/back. i caught myself taking a breath on the box on set1, and 2-5 were much harder holding in the breath. i notice on some reps my knees buckle (probably not good)

few questions:

  1. am i plopping down onto the box too hard? is this bad?
  2. am i ascending correctly or do i lean forward/ hipdrive too much?
  3. any other comments welcome!
    i tried 145x10 on the box to test form after, definitely is easier.
