Boring But Big Configuration

Hello mr. Wendler, I have a question about BBB. I was thinking about going back to my favourite routine and also adding some exercises.

  1. Bench day:
    before workout rotatory work
    Bench 531
    Bench 5x10
    T-bar rows 5x10
    maybe some arms

  2. Deads day:
    kettlebell swings 3x10
    Deads 531
    Deads/good morning 5x10
    Abs

  3. Press day:
    before workout rotatory work
    Press 531
    Dips 5x10
    DB row5x10
    maybe some arms

  4. Squat day:
    box jumps 3x5
    Squat 531
    Front squats 5x10
    Abs

Is it ok?

Yep, now go do it.

That is almost the same as the book. Just make sure you choose an exercise for a reason.

Good morning?

dagill2, yes sir!
JFG, I had some low back issue and I’m little bit scared of doing 5x10 on deads. But, I’m gonna give it a try.

Be conservative with the weight. For me, deadlifts really respond to light work.

Single leg deadlifts and reverse hypers? Thats what I changed to preserve my low back. 5x10 was just too painful for me.

You’ll be fine. Most people don’t/can’t do standard deadlifts for 5x10. My personal experience is that the good morning is a wicked supplement to heavy deadlifts.

Ok, thank you all.

I see you already have horizontal pull in the bench day, wouldnt it be better to do some vertical pull like pull ups in Press day?
