Okay I’ll give an honest post. This used to happen to me when doing preacher curls. What helped me was lightening the load and going for higher reps while incorporating more forearm work into my routines. Lifting heavy can cause tiny stress fractures in your bones. Build up your forearms and go easy with anything that hurts them and you should be good after your forearms build strength and mass.

My forearms have always been lacking so I had to pay extra attention to them to keep them up to par with everything else.
Very likely the OP’s issue is not a bone issue at all but a tendon issue. Tendon inflammation and scar tissue buildup in the forearms and overly tight muscles in the forearms, arms and chest.

I’d suggest serious soft tissue work and flexibility/mobility with a period of low(er) weight.
I’m a bit curious why you would think it’s a tendon issue if he feels the pain in his bones? I’ll admit I’ve never had tendon issues that I know of, so I can’t really speak on the matter, but curious if you have a tendon problem wouldn’t you feel it in your tendons, not bones or are you assuming he wouldn’t know the difference?

I had/have tendon issues in my elbow that feel like the bone is pulling apart and thought it was a crack in the bone until the Dr. told me different. Flairs up now and then with the wrong movement and hurts worse than any break I’ve ever had, with exception to my collar bone which hurt worse than anything I can imagine.

i thinks its because you use both hands to bench that ?

men should be able to bench that with one hand or they are pussies and then it starts to hurt !

Ditto. Also bone breaks are not common at only 300 lbs with the bar. Your bones can typically handle more than that in a bench even if they’re weakened. In addition certain kinds of pain are hard to pinpoint–they hurt so deep it feels like your bone when it’s not.

^ c’mon kerley somone’s gotta teach you grammar… I mean its hard enough to understand you Irish when you’re talking, add bad grammar and it’s a total mess.

Or was it the Scottish that are hard to understand??? Hmm… now that I think about it, it was the Scottish. Never mind, you’re good. =)

Plus you’re my only T-Nation friend, if you hate me I’m ALL alone. :frowning:

Saw a scottish guy in town today talking to his girl and I swear it sounded like he wanted to smash her face in, but when I got closer I realised that they were just chatting. Crazy ass Scots.

OP, this happened to my brother-in-law’s step-brother’s sister’s boyfriend. He died. From bone pain, likely.

I lived in England for 2 years, and was able to understand even the thickest English accent, then one day a Scot came to my work, first time meeting a Scott. He walked up to me and started talking, I literally thought he wasn’t speaking english and was fkn wit me. I started laughing and said wtf is that? He looked at me confused. I responded, “what language is that”? He looked at me a little more confused, laughed, then continued talking. I soon realized he was speaking english, but I for the life of me could not understand him. I apologized and told him I had no idea what he was saying. He got frustrated and walked away.

Quite the experience.
