Bodyfat Caliper Precision?

what is the most accurate way? im currently using the saprillius way or whatever, and depending on the site of where i pinch i vary 3-5%!

While accuracy is important, I would be more worried about consistency from a comparison standpoint.

Not sure what saprillius way is, but the more sites you do on the body typically the more accurate it will be (I personally use a 6-site)

I use a 3-site method, because I can reach all of the sites and do it myself. I get pretty good repeatability. One thing to keep in mind is that hydration status will affect the results significantly. Last weekend, I did an experiment, where I did the measurement first thing in the morning, then again later after I’d had breakfast and some fluids. My calculated lean body weight was almost 3 lbs different between the two measurements. See the thread “A Diet Experiment” under Supplements and Nutrition if you’re interested in the details.

JehovasFitness - Can you do the 6-site method yourself? If so, would you be so kind as to describe or provide a link to the method? Thanks!

It ain’t accurate. Period. If the same guy does it the same way, it will track change over time. Which is helpful.

I’m a trainer, so I have another trainer do the test every 2 weeks
