Want to give us an update on your training in BOI (or are you in the facebook group or whatever else they got going) ?

You mentioned trying dorian’s stuff in another thread, so I’m curious… I’m doing things a little more Dorian’ish right now as well.

Hitting 405 for 10 on the bench yet?

I’m in the fb group, but my training is pretty much all of the exercises dorian suggests for each bodypart (with some variations) and doing calves/back/bi, chest/tri, quads/hams
calves/shoulders, off then repeat. If you want something more specific lemme know and I’ll add.

I actually haven’t benched at all in a very long time, I decided it was just a pointless exercise for me. I do a lot of HS incline and decline now, haven’t even really messed with free weights on chest in a while. I’m maxing out the HS machines and adding weight to the handles though so strength is still pretty good.

Seriously looking huge Way

Neither, actually lol

ROFL.

I did EZ-Bar PJR Pullovers Monday, long head of Tris still sore. I’ve noticed to really get them good and to make sure you don’t use any lats, you have to position your upper back on the bench so that the base of your neck is just on the bench. This soreness feels fucking good.

I’ll pay dividends to the PJR pullover as well. I tried dumbells, then ez-bars, but what I like to use the best is a Neutral grip handle ‘‘hammer curl’’ bar. Puts my wrists in the easiest position for it and I can use the most weight this way. Also really starting to like OH cable extensions with an Ez bar as well really hits the lateral head.

Figure I’d add to this.

Staple Tricep excercises:

Elbows Flared Decline CGBP
Dead Stop Extensions
French Press

Tried close-grip benching in the smith machine today, this one is definitely a keeper. Being able to push against the rack and not worry about range of motion/shoulder pain made such a huge difference.

Anyone ever try just the simple One-arm DB Extensions behind the head for the long head? Dr. Clay likes these for that purpose. I can feel that when I do that motion behind my head I get a good stretch in the long head. However I bet some people’s elbows would be dying…

The facebook BOI is a secret group san!!!

I’ve been really enjoying Tricep dips across two benches and adding plates to my lap for more resistance.

Victor Martinez told me those were his favorite triceps exercise when I saw him at bev’s :P. Haha, idk, I like the feel, and they seem to be working.

Does any else Close Grip with a very close grip ?

I like it where my if I stuck out each thumb they would only be an inch from each other or closer/

I feel like it cripples the lats and chest and lets you actually use the triceps more. But I have noticed more stress on the shoulder when going heavy…

Anyone else do something similar ?

No my wrists don’t seem to thank me when I did this in the past.
