I think it would interesting to see how much we purchase in a week or a month to keep up with our bodybuilding ways:
For this week:
An Olympic Bench (my old one doesn’t cut it)
Flax Seed Oil
Fish Oil Capsules
Whey Protein Powder
Malodextrin power
Protein Powder (Whey/Casein)
(This isn’t to mention all of the steak, tuna, salmon, eggs, grain bread and vegetables I’m consuming)
My total comes up to about $230–of course all of this should last me for awhile hopefully
With what are you guys running up the cash registers?
Not counting supplements, my groceries usually run around $200/month. Factor in the Grow, fish oil, misc (Hot Rox, Power Drive, ZMA etc) and that number skyrockets.
Chicken
Cashews
Steak
Diet Mountain Dew or Diet Coke
Milk
Yogurt
bread
cheese
maltodextrose
metamucil (for additional fiber in the protein shakes)
Bananas
Peaches
Apples
Grapes
Broccoli
Carrots
Cauliflower
Frozen Veggies
Canned Veggies
Canned/Packaged Tuna
Canned Chicken
websites for supps
mag-10

tribex
4-ad-ec
powerdrive
chocolate whey
glutamine
creatine
myoplex rtd’s
methoxy
Of course, I don’t buy all those supps every month, but that was just this month as I’m gearing up for the race to 200. I usually have the whey, methoxy, rtd’s, glut, and creatine on hand.
I live in a rural area. At the right time of year grocery bill can be as little as $200 a month. Bob will sell me a cow for $300. We raise or own chickens and sell some of the eggs to buy flax seed for us and them. Joe will shoot two deer more than he’ll eat, and the processing for that is about $100. Danny will give me the hookup on his trees and garden for $200 for the entirety of the seasons. This will last 3 months. Too bad these never occur at the same time and aren’t a garunteed source like Sam’s.
As unbelievable as this will sound, it only costs me $36.50 USD no bullshit. How is it possible? I live in the Philippines. US $1 = 55 PhP, so in my local currency, it costs approximately 2000 PhP.
