Body Fat or Skin?

does this look like body fat or loose skin, i use to be super duper fat when i was a kid now i weigh around 183 lbs and I’m 5’10"

body fat - loose skin would be more “hangy”. Congrats on not being fat any more.

Skin over fat

Congrats on losing the weight. I know that since you used to be fat, your mind can play tricks on you (making you think you have more body fat than you actually do), but you definitely aren’t fat at all now.

Time to start gaining some muscle.

You look fine man start eating sensibly and lifting heavy and you will be on track in no time. I know how the used to be fat thing goes I was 13 years old and had a 49 in waist at 5ft 2in tall I weighed 251 lbs at my heaviest. So now’s every single time I look in the mirror I have the hardest time seeing progress all I ever notice is how smooth or how much this doesn’t look right. Hopefully it will pass for us both but, in the mean time just do your take full body pics from front back and side every two months or so and honestly compare them to each other… that’s the only way I can ever get a rough accurate self assesmemt.

Congrats on losing the weight. I think you aren’t fat anymore and it’s time to start lifting heavy and eating well. Congrats…now you can grow

lol.

Congrats on losing the weight. Looks like you need to start packing on the muscle! As you get bigger the fat/loose skin you do have will seem to decrease. Don’t go on an all out big bulk though because you’ll end up putting on more fat than you want and is necessary. That will play mind games with you especially seeing as you used to be overweight.

I was probably 160lbs in 5th grade and now I’m a junior and I work out 5 Times a week. I’ve been trying to bulk up, I was 160 my freshman year and I’ve gained 20lbs of muscle

Good progress. Keep in mind that at your age you can probably do even more. If you are working out with intensity 5x/week and 16/17 years old, heck, I’d just eat (relatively clean) like a madman. It’s awesome that you have been able to take control of yourself so early in life. Good on you. You have already had a lot of success and I think you’ll continue to be successful with your mindset.

What do you eat most days? You could probably be gaining more weight without much fat gain right now.
