Greg, if I was bulking, I would be sticking to the template fairly strictly (why not?), but since Im dieting, I prob will have to adjust volume accordingly. if I could though, I would do things like he has laid out. I think Mr. Meadows has a very good grasp of programming and exercise order.
his delt and back stuff is superbbbb. like if you have trouble feeling your back, DEFINITELY try the movements he has in the sample program. And for delts… well… those sessions have been MURDER. sets of 35 reps? 60 reps!? gets cuh-ray-zee.

Thanks a lot man. I’m gonna keep on going. I’d like to stay around this weight (215) but recomp a bit. If i could add a couple pounds of muscle while dropping a few lbs of fat to get my hawt abzz back I think I’d be set. I feel good at this weight. I’d just like to round out my shoulders a bit more, add some upper traps and possibly some more arm size (better bicep peak)

gonna get my meadows back workout on after class today. Got the sample workout in my log ready to go. I’ll post back this evening with the results… gotta get some straps first though. Then shoulders tomorrow. 60 reps? daaaaaayum! I remember doing 2 sets of 50 rep calf raises one time with my buddy. It was awful. I walk walking like a zombie
You got a good shape and stuff, if anything i think ur shoulders are your best asset, they seem to be capped really well, defo aim for some more upper back mass. looking good

Yeah my upper traps suck. I had a neck injury in the military from wearing my mitch helmet with NGVs mounted all the time. I can’t really do shrugs cause it still bothers my neck. I do face pulls and feel that in my traps but other than that I don’t know much I can do that doesnt irritate my neck. Sucks
I’ve been concentrating on my back lately. Gonna give the Meadows style workouts a try today and see how that goes.
Ye i see where you coming from, i normally do face pulls for traps as well, i read an article on here and apparently lateral raises with a cable hit the upper trap hard, and i always find deadlifts and hang cleans always leave them pumped the day after so why not try bring some of these in? See if it has the same affect on u?
Didn’t know you got engaged man. Congrats. You’re making some killer progress in here. Oh yeah, I checked that thread you told me about. Didn’t see my call out but good god that dude’s off! Be easy brother.

Well I guess its time. I’ve been thinking of starting a workout log for a while but I think now its time.
I’ve just been doing a lazy bodypart split lately. I havent had much structure and I’m tired of it so Its time to start a log to keep myself accountable. I dont know how many people will follow it but thats not the point.
My goals are:
Get Stronger
Work on my Vert (still want to try and dunk)
recomp a bit
Stay around the same weight that I am now
stats:
5’11" and 212lbs today at the gym.

Cool to see you have a log. How far are you from dunking? Hanging on the rim? That was a goal of mine last year and I was pretty damn close before my knee exploded. It’s something I’d like to shoot for again and it’d be cool to see someone else get there as well.

Thanks for checking out my log man. Well as far as the dunking… I’m still pretty far off I believe. I’m consistently hitting the palm of my hand on the rim (right where the ridge of all your callouses are) so I’m probably 6 inches away from having my whole hand above the rim, which I assume is what I’ll need. It’s still something I’d like to do but it’s not my main goal so we’ll see I’d it happens. My main goal is just to look better than I do now lol
I’ll keep ya posted on any updates in the jumpIng category though
I dont know what that means but I love it!
Its my youtube channel. I think another round of vids is in the making.
Interesting. I missed the first round.
Oh, and Gregron, nice work. Thats some big time improvement in a year. Stay strong, and I’ll be following.
Thanks a lot. I’ve been trying to get back after it since my shoulder. It’s still not 100% and I don’t think I’ll ever have my full ROM back but I just adjust for it. Thanks for checkin out my log. If you have any tips or suggestions feel free to chime in.

Yep I got engaged a few days before Christmas and we’re doing wedding planning stuff now. Didnt realize how quick all that stuff would start. I thought you’d be engaged for a while then start… But no! Haha but it’s cool. I’m enjoying it so far.
Yeah that dude has lost it. That’s an obvious troll thread but still. The “call out” was in his video. He’s showing off his hand and 4" wrist band and says “what’s up white flash? what’s up white flash? You vert troll. Get odd my nuts” or something to that effect. Making a video with all that editing and obvious time put in to call out someone you disagreed with on a forum? Dude must really have no life lol.
First day of Meadows style back workout (thanks bug)
Warm up:
2 mile run 17:19 (my legs were really tight/sore so I thought id stretch it out with a run but they just wouldnt loosen up so I stopped at 2 miles)
Meadows Rows:
2 plates x 8
2 plates + 25 x 8
3 plates x 8 (<-- i still need to play around with these and work on getting the form down right. I liked them but wasnt actually ‘feeling’ them as much as i expected)
Dead Stop DB Rows:
70x10
90x10
110x10 (<-- wasnt sure how much weight to use on these and I way under shot it. I should have started out with the 110’s. will do next time)
Stretchers:
135x12
150x12 (<-- These are awesome! I had such an awesome lat pump going after these. I really liked the stretch/duck under portion at the top. It was a good stretch on my shoulder and in my lats. I love love love these!)
Hammer Strength Low Iso Row: (dont have a chest supported row)
2ppsx10
3ppsx 10,9
finished with 3 sets of 10 wide grip pull ups and had to roll out. I went to a restaurant opening with my fiance. The design firm she works for did the restaurant so we got an invite. I had to cut my workout a little short to come home, get cleaned up and get my dress clothes on. It was a fun even and the food/drinks were good. They had quite a few different free drinks and one of them was a smokey jalapeno margarita… it was awesome. I love spicy things
Oh and I finally got some straps which i used during this workout… they were incredible. My grip strength sucks and has always limited my rowing movements but until yesterday I didnt know exactly how much. on DB rows the 110’s are usually pretty hard but they were really easy yesterday. I guess they always seemed hard cause I sucked and holding onto the weight. I think having the straps is really going to improve my back development. I’m very much excited about it.
Ok so thats enough of my ranting. Thanks for checking out the log. Gonna try the meadows shoulder stuff at the gym today. We’ll see how that goes. Take it easy everyone.
