Congrats on getting married buddy! Wish you the best. Training looked good today.
Kick ass. Congrats on having what seems in every way the perfect wedding!
Additional congrats on seemingly not even missing that much training in light of it all… impressive! (probably helps your wife trains too!)
Congrats bud, ya’ll look happy. Think I speak for everyone here when I say we’re pumped for you dude.
Congrats. Looking very sharp and solid in that wedding suit.
That is an awesome place to have a wedding, congratulations

and welcome back to regular life. ![]()
Congrats bro. !
congrats again!!
Congrats on the fireman acceptance
Big congrats on the wedding - looks like you had a beautiful ceremony.
What a kick ass time to be Greg ![]()
cherish this buzz.
the redneck truck is hilarious.
^^Front relaxed shot w/ no pump from this morning. Not looking too bad after the past couple weeks. BW was 207 exactly this afternoon… just gotta drop a little more fat and get down another maybe 5 lbs…
Da Champ- hahah well this is kinda a life log lately… but back to training! Thanks mi amigo
Jake- My training, sleep and food have been WAY off lately. I’ve been getting things back on track and did a big grocery trip yesterday so that should be good. Time to get back on that horse.
WF- Thanks buddy! Appreciate it.
Cprimero- Thank man. I really wanted the classic “James Bond” look and thats why I went with the tux. That damn bow tie took almost 20 minutes to tie and get right lol. I probably should have practiced before wedding day.
DF- It was so awesome. Tahoe is great and The Ritz was amazing. I cant wait to go back.
RampantBadger- lololol I’m not sure if thats part of the training program but I’ll suggest that course lol.
Bug- Thanks buddy. Things went great and life is just going smoothly now. Possibly looking at moving into a new place before the academy starts in 5+ weeks but we’ll see. Glad to get back to eating normally and hitting the gym on the reg.
Achilles- Thanks homie. Hows the throwing coming along?
MiMsy- Thank you! How have you been?
Frenchie- Isnt that truck funny? I cant believe he did all that. He said he drove all the way from his house with it on and was by himself so people were giving him weird looks lol. He’s a funny guy.
Been really digging this song lately.
OK so I got in the gym for a marathon session today… tri’s were pretty sore from yesterday.
PULL day: Back, Bi’s, Hammies

Singe Leg Lying Hammie Curl:
70 x 8, 8, 8 both legs x 19?? Could barely walk after this
Stiff Leg Deficit DL’s:
185 x 8, 8, 8
From here on out every “rest period” was 100 jumps with the speed rope

EZ Bar Curls:
25lbs on each side x 10, 9, 7
Hammer Curls:

and I was done. We were in the gym for probably close to 2 hours? We just kept feeling good and hitting up a little more… probably going to be pretty sore tomorrow. Oh well.
I’ve got my orientation for the Fire Academy tomorrow morning pretty early so I’m gonna get to bed early tonight. Thanks for stopping by everyone. I’m tired and starving right now, time to gorge on some food!
Looks like a proper bodybuilding session- I hit back hard today too, always fun. I was in there about 1hr 45 or so… got to love long-ass sessions
how long is the academy?
Jake- It was pretty body builder esqe I guess… I liked it a lot and will be changing up my routine here shortly.
Jams98- The academy is 13 weeks. Not too long but they’ll be long days. I have to leave my house by 4:30 in the morning and will be getting home between 7-8 most nights. Oh well… I’ve definitely done longer and a lot harder when I was still in the military so this’ll be just like old times lol.
I love Bon Iver.
Had a really good workout today.
AM: ran a 5K (3.2 miles) I was happy with this. I’ve been slowly conditioning my lower legs for running again since I have compartment syndrome and have issues with that. Havent ran 3+ times straight in over a year so I’m glad. Gonna rest them up tomorrow and run again on wednesday.
PM: Chest (and some front squats for fun.)
warm up, stretch, 5 min Jump Rope
Incline BB:
warm up
work sets 3 x 6 (hit all with 225 and a slower neg)
Front Squat:
135 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10 (Nice and sweaty and blood flowing)
Super Set w/ Bench. did a set of squats before and after every bench set. That was my “rest” period. Liked this a lot.
BB Bench:
245 x 8, 8, 8
Incline DB’s
80’s x 12, 12, 12
Peck Deck supersetted with Ab wheel roll outs:
4 x 10 of each
and that was it. BW is 207-208lbs. Wanna keep getting this to slowly drop over then next couple weeks.
Gonna change up my workouts soon. I’ve been doing the routine that my workout partner was doing and I just dont think its my favorite. Gonna switch it up to something new soon. Not sure what exactly?
Thanks for stopping by, time for more studying and food.
What academy are you in? fire?
Haven’t posted in the third edition, so congrats on everything buddy!
Love the wedding pics, Greg!! Everything looks like it turned out be-u-tifully!!
Nice work getting back into the swing of things. I’ll be interested in seeing what you plan to switch up re: training. I guess the big question is, what are your training goals? Hmm…? Also, with those long days at the academy (squeal firemen!) you should factor that shiz in, no?
Either way, keep killin’ it!
ps. Nice hip dip there, buddy ![]()
Really nice front squats dude, count me jelly!
Achilles- Yeah its the fire academy. Starts in a month, i’m pretty excited
HeavyTriple- Whats up man? Not a whole lot going on in this third edition of the log and I’m afraid its going to be very slow going once the academy starts… probably shouldnt have started one up but oh well. Thanks mi amigo! Life is really good right now.
Masch- Thanks! Everything was perfect. Best. Week. Ever. Training goals right now are to up my conditioning a bit while dropping some more weight. I’m right around 208 now but havent really been doing anything in order to drop more weight. I need to get on that lol. If i can get in better condition, drop some body fat and not lose much strength that would be fantastic.
Phlegms- Thanks man. I really just wanted to work some more in and get the blood flowing. It was nice.
Hit the gym the other day for legs and it was killer. I’ve been loving these box squats lately. I’ve been getting really sore from them. Highlights from leg workout
Bellow Parellel Box Squats:
135 x 10, 10
185 x 10
225 x 10
275 x 8, 8
315 x 12 (grinders at the end)
Hack Squat
Stiff Leg DL’s
Hammie Curls
It was a great day and i’m sore today.
Hit the gym today for back and shoulders cause I missed back day yesterday. Really liked the cable pull down pre exhaust from last week so I did it again today. Tried a few things from a Yates back article that were nice.
Pull Ups:
4 x 10
Cable Pull Down w/ Rope for pre exhuast:
a lot
Neutral Grip Pull Downs:
