Ok well it is currently 4:51 AM in (not so sunny yet) San Diego and my ass is wide awake. Actually I’ve been up since midnight and I can’t go back to sleep. WTF?!? Went to bed at 10:30 and was Wodehouse awake at midnight. My alarm is set for an hour from now to hit the gym for some cardio with my fiancée. Today could end up being a looooooooong day.
Hit the gym this morning. Did 25 minutes of incline treadmill walking. After that I did 4 rounds of:
26lb KB clean n press: 10 each arm
hyper extensions: BW x 10
Then I did 3 rounds of:
45lb KB Sumo Squats: x 20 (loosen up and get the blood flowing)
100 jumps with speed rope
finished with some stretching and having a shake now. Gonna foam roll and stretch later. No gym tomorrow, just stretching/rolling. BW was back down to 212 this morning.
Any special meet day strategies other than to be swole and SFW? Put any thought into your meet day nutrition? I’d imagine stuff like that is probably important.
Gashes on your hand suck. You have long enough that you should be fine. When I cut my hand on that broken glass I couldn’t press for like 3 days then was fine after that, so hopefully you’ll be fine too.

phlegms- No special meet day strategies really? I havent thought about my meet day nutrition… I’ll probably have my big breakfast shake and then bring some snacks like almonds, beef jerky and then a meal or two in some tubberwear or something?

blaze- Glad you liked the singlet… it was a big hit. My hand is feeling quite a bit better but not 100%. I should be good on sunday though. Definitely gonna work on the vids. My buddy who’s supposed to go with me might not be able to come so that would suck… we’ll see though.

No lifting until the meet. Feeling a little sore today in my 'ceps today (thats my new favorite saying… “blastin my 'ceps” = HILARIOUS)
Any ideas or tips for meet day nutrition? any last minute things that I need to know or stuff that I should bring? Thanks for the help everyone.
Trail mix, gatorade, turkey/cheese on a rolled flat piece of bread and then rolled up (think fruit roll up but with meat/cheese/bread (They’re easy to put down between attempts if you need them), couple energy drinks, water

I’ll probably just throw some regular fruit roll ups in there for good measure lol I’ll have vids if my friend can make it to the meet… if not then I doubt I’ll be able to get any (which would blooooooooooooooow)
The meet is sunday morning. I have to be there at 8 AM so that means I’ll probably leave my house at 6 just to be safe. The meet starts at 10 I think? We have an orientation in the morning and then weigh ins after that. I’m pretty pumped up. Definitely a little sore in my chest and tri’s from that workout on monday but I’ll be good by sunday.
The waiting game continues… I’m really pumped for the meet but this waiting around and not going to the gym thing sucks lol. Pretty excited to get back and hit some weights.
