Body By Gregron 2.0

HeavyTriple- lol. thanks man… I just want to make sure that I dont F up and go high on a squat attempt. I think that would throw off my mojo a bit and I aint trying to have that.

Training today went well considering I’m feeling not so great. Cold is still hanging around and I have jack squat for energy but I tried to LWI and make it work.

wore the minimums and LOVED EM. Really nice.

wanted to break them in a bit so I ran to the gym as opposed to jogging. Then I hopped on the treadmill and was planning on doing a nice easy mile (7:15 pace) but the damn treadmill shut off just over half a mile in! WTF is going on with these stupid machines? Am I too much of a powerlifting fatty to run on the treadmill? So that was frustrating to say the least.

stretch/dislocates/pull aparts/ect

531 Smith Machine Press
160 x 3
180 x 3
200 x 10 (did these with the seat facing forward. so basically a up and slightly out press. felt MUCH better on my shoulders and obvi the weight was easier. I like these much better.

DB Inclines:
70 x 10
90 x 10
100 x 10, 10 (glad to get two sets of 10 here)
85 x 10 (puuuuuuuuuuumpzzzz)

Wide-ish grip pull ups. Collar bone to the bar
5 x 10 (lats were on fire. Really getting a much better MMC on back work these days)

EZ Bar Incline PJR thingy into CG Press:
4 x 10 (WOW! Mega tricep pump of death)

Reverse Pec Deck:
50lbs x 3 x 20 (rear delts were on fire. best MMC I’ve ever had with rear delts. felt great)

that was it. I rolled home after this cause my energy levels were low from the get go. all in all it was a good session. Gonna get some food and rest up. Gotta kick this cold cause I need to smash on some DL’s tomorrow.

I was reading an article here a while back on pullups, and always thought the wider the better but when I commented on my wg pullups he said that works the teres major/minor more, Almost a little more than shoulder width apart activates the Lats the most. So I started doing them that way and for fucks sake he was right.

Nice pressin BTW, I love me some DB inclines!

GREG!

Seems like we have the same problem with shallowness of the back lol. You can definitely tell it has development, it just doesn’t “pop” all that much.

I keep thinking it’s because of bodyfat, but i then i see some guys with more bodyfat than me with back muscles that ripple?

Some peoples kids.

Hey Greg, does the handle bar mustache add to any lifts? btw do you like to party?

ha shit aside good work bro. lots of improvement from earlier in the year.

Matty- DB Inclines are one of my favorite exercises. I was definitely feeling those pull ups today. hopefully they’ll help my back. I’m pretty arms dominant so i was concentrating on initiating the pull with my lats.

Harold- HARRY!

KMan- Yeah my backs kinda lame. my upper back/traps have been coming up lately but its slow going. Lower BF would definitely help though.

AchilliesofWar- what is up? That is an insane DL in your avi. strong like bull! thanks for the kind words. working on improving… still got a ways to go. I’m not sure about the exact increase in poundages that the mustache adds but there is definitely a correlation. 100% lol You’re the second person to ask if I like to party… I feel like I’m missing something… hmmmmmm

ok so i’m really starting to feel like Es Ayche Eye Tee right now (sound it out folks) Not good. Gonna get some sleep now and hope things are better in the morning.

Remember: If you dont stand for something you’ll fall for anything.

Nice pressing as usual sir.
Digging the new avi too. Swoleness.

Pullups are amazin. I really focus on the start of the motion, as that’s when you can really feel the pull through the lats.

As far as yours and Kman’s discussion on back thickness…Heavy ass Yates and DB rows…that is all. haha.

Get better soon, brudda.

Those new shoes look teh sex. Better or worse than vibrams?

Took me a long time to sound it out, I fail at life.

Out of curiosity how high are you setting the incline for DB presses?

I would with the smith setting that is most comfortable on your shoulder that allows you to shift the weight (which you clearly have, well done sir) I know strictly OHP is meant to end back above the top of your head but W/E.

cool shoes.

Hope your feeling better!

Hey Greg, do you like to party?

New avi looks fantasmo. I almost took a picture of myself with my shaker this morning, just for you, LOL. The treadmills are shutting off because they realize just how stupid they are, and are bowing out in the greatness that is Gregron.

You’ve gotten like 4 new avi comments in a day. You’re welcome.

I forgot to chime in on this gem right here ^^

It’s better to rob yourself of a few pounds, by going “too” deep on your squats, than to have a lift red-lighted for being high. When is doubt…GO LOWER.

But you’ll be fine dude, no doubt. PLUS, it’s an SPF meet right? So you just have to bend the knees. LOLOLOLOLOLOL (Looks out for DixiesFinest)

^^
LOL at squat comments

I like your moustache Greg, I hit a deadlift PR last week - all due to the awesome moustache Im currently rockin’

Pretty sure “do you like to party?” Is a gay joke at the expense of your Burt Reynolds starter kit. Strong pressing broham.
