That steak/rice/wine combo looks killer, but were y’all really drinking white with steak…? Dude, 275 for 7 is pretty Damn strong. Knowing nothing about powerlifting, I think you can open with something bigger. Killin’ it as always broham.

WhiteFlash- it was good. you should try making that rice some time. My girl threw some avocado in it this time. AMAZING. hahah yeah we had white wine. We didnt have any red and so we just went with the white. not the best but still good. I really know next to nothing about PL but that first rep of 275 was cake w/ the pause. I think I should be able to open w/ 300 no problems but we’ll see in two weeks when my top set is 310 x 1+… that’l be the best chance to gauge my strength I think.

40 minutes on the stairmaster this morning and then I finished up the rest of my workout from yesterday

110x 10, 10, 10, 10 my lats were FRIED! Love doing some light kayaks right before the DB rows. I could feel it so much more!

Tricep Press Downs w/ EZ bar-ish handle:
130 x 10
150 x 10
170 x 10,10,10

Rear Delt Cable crossovers: did these instead of lateral raises. want to hit the rear delts more
20lbs x 12
30lbs x 12, 12, 12
20lbs x 18 (smoked)

all felt good. Gonna get over to costco now and then this in a couple hours I’ll be hitting up my squat workout. I’ll check in on everyones logs when I get back from costco so there better be something awesome in all of them or else!!!

Tried to put actual effort into one of my meals today like you always seem to with yours, the best I got was a thick piece of steak with a fried egg and melted fresh buffalo mozzarella on top and some cous-cous on the side. How’d I do? It definitely beats oats, whey and PB again :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m using the “perodization bible” assistance work template. I’m in the process of prepping for my first ever PL meet so I’ve just been doing 531 for the past 4 or 5 weeks? something like that. Legs day is today my friend. didnt you see my DL Day? I hit up the leggos then to. FIGHT ON!!!

ok so todays workout wasnt that great but I’ll take it. I have been using the loaner community belt from my gym but couldnt today because this older gentleman was “using” it all day. basically he had it around his waist on the very last notch and did EVERY EXERCISE with it on! every exercise as in smith bench, seated DB Curls, HS shoulder press ect… it was slightly displeasing to say the least. so todays squats were all beltless.

340 x 7 (not that great here. I know I can get 10+ at this but my knee was feeling a little whacked off and I had no belt. bummer but I’ll take 7)

kinda high on a few of those squats I think (dont judge me)

you can see the “Gregron Squatting Fan Club” in the background lol. those two guys were squatting 95lbs or so in the other rack and just watching me squat the whole time. kinda distracting to have them watching/talking about my squat the entire time but I tried to block it out. Wish I had the belt… need to work on my depth too.

Reverse Hypers: (actually did them right this time MiM)
laid across the arm rests of the dip/leg raise station. not sure I really liked these at all TBH

^^that was surprisingly hard. legs kinda felt like jello.

all in all it was a decent workout but I dont like doing all my 531 workouts four days in a row. I feel better when I have that day off in between deadlift and bench day. I think it keeps me more fresh and I dont have tired legs on squat day. Maybe doing 40 minutes on the stairmaster this morning didnt help either? Lesson learned. Gonna throw down a shake now and I’ve got some wild caught salmon fillets to grill up tonight. Mmmm Mmmmm Good!

Workout looked good! And squats weren’t bad at all. Especially since you were out of your comfort zone sans belt and with that bevy of spectators (can you blame them?).

I used to employ treadmill hill sprints too (in the wintertime). Loved them! But you pretty much maxed that bitch out, so I’m not sure how you’ll make that more challenging. Maybe run the sprint for longer? Have you ever tried running with a parachute btw? I’m thinking of getting one of these once I’m able to run again…
