Just kidding, I’m glad to hear that you’re powerlifting. I think you’ve got a lot more in you than just an 1100 total but I guess we’ll have to see come meet time. I’m watching and miring as always (no creeper, a little homo).

@ dem burgers…dayuuummm. I wish I didn’t get so apathetic towards my food preparation. The best I can muster at the moment is grilled chicken with some franks red hot. Fml.

Damn, your log recieved a hell of a lot of luv. Justified though because of progress and current lean levels. I agree you can probably get around/more then 1100 at the meet as long as you hit a good deadlift, make sure you do so I’m not snapping at yours heels any time soon :wink:

I’l have one workout where I go from listening to Killswitch Engage to Rise Against to Adelle to Johnny Cash to Justin Beiber to Thrice to ACDC… I put the pod on shuffle and do work. You know you found yourself liking that song as it went on though. you can admit it. I’m still waiting for you to rock the headband for a workout viddy

WF- The weight vest is awesome. Its such a subtle way to make exercises so much harder. it is amazing how much harder a burpee is with a 25lb vest on. its like night and day to a BW one. You dont know how you feel about that song as in you dont know if you love it or if it could possible be your new most favorite song of all time??? Thought so

^^^Haha, the verdict’s still out I guess. What kind of vest do you have? The promaxima plant is literally like 5 miles from my house and you can go there and walk around/buy shit directly from them. It’s awesome. They have any and everything someone into strength training/athletic performance could want, including their version of prowlers, bumper plates, weight vests, bands, chains, power racks, whatever. I was thinking of picking up a 40lber that has removeable weights and starting with jumpers and sprints using 20lbs and building up. Did you gradually integrate it or jump right in?

Well I pulled 440 after pre-fatiguing hamstrings and 3 sets (of 6, 6, 3) beforehand, so fresh I’m probably hanging about the same as you on the deadlift. Shame you have 70+ pounds on the squat and about the same on the bench then!! lol

As you get closer to the meet will you continue to do the conditioning work! Pretty intense stuff bro namath.

WF- That sounds sick! Since you’re getting the stuff factory direct is it a lot cheaper? If so you might have to pick some stuff up for me lol. I like the idea of the 40lb vest with removable weights. The thing that I love about my vest is that it fits really snug. It doesnt bounce around or anything even if I’m doing burpees or running in it. I just jumped right in with my vest cause it isnt that much heavier than BW. I wouldnt jump right in with 40lbs if I was you though. Thats like 20%+ of your bodyweight right? That would be rough to start with.

Jake- damn man, you’re a deadlift machine! I guess I gotta keep my other lifts strong(ish) so that you dont pass up my total

Matty- I love avocados. I eat them all the time (whenever they arent super expensive) As the meet gets closer I’ll keep doing my conditioning stuff. As long as I can keep doing that stuff and I’m getting stronger and stronger I’ll keep it up. I’m really excited about this meet but I still really want to drop a little more fat/look better/be more athletic so I i’ll keep the conditioning stuff… I’ll do something for sure. I just like to change it up so I dont get bored.

ok so heres a snapshot of my lunch. YUM!

9oz free range chicken breast (yeah… 9 oz AFTER it was cooked. This was a giant chicken)
1/2 tbs VCO
rosemary and garlic

SIDE: Mango Rice salad
Rice (sliiiiiiightly under cooked so its crisp)
Mango
Bell Pepper
Red Onion
Cilantro

chopped up all the goodies and mix it in the rice. Throw that bad boy in the fridge so that its cold, crisp and fresh. Great on a hot day like today with the chix straight off the barbie.

Matty- See you know whats up! you dont have to rage to get some weight up. I like listening to fun music that makes me happy. I have most definitely lifted to some T Swift and some Sarah Bareilles lulz.

Ok so I hit the gym today and had A GREAT workout! It was sick. Weighed in at 213… so things are moving in the right direction.

Run to the gym, warm up, band pull aparts. KB warm up complex (goblet squats, swings to overheads)

531 Smith Shoulder Press: I dropped my max down on these and switched the seat around to face the other way in the smith. It is MUCH harder and definitely more of an OHP rather than a very steep incline press. Killed my numbers so I dropped my max from 275 to 250
170 x 1
190 x 1
215 x 3 (sucky but way harder turned the other way)

DB Inclines:
65 x 10
80 x 10
90 x 10
100 x 10, 8 (last set of 8 is on vid)

Pull Ups: no belt so they were all BW pull ups
5 x 10 (last set on vid)

EZ Bar PJR’s:
45lbs on each side x 10, 10, 10, 8 (smoked!)
25lbs on each side x 12 (had to make up for those missed reps)

CONDITIONING: Got the itch again to get some… and get some I did
Burpee Pull Ups 3 x 10 w/ 90seconds rest (last set on vid)

this was a great workout. The burpee pull ups were great. I was smoked after those. The bar is at the perfect height. I basically just jumped as high as I could and hoped I grabbed the bar lol. Check the video for some surprises :slight_smile:

Animal! Arms/legs looking good man. Your workout vids are entertaining with the music and comments. I will make a stronger effort next time, sensei-master.
