Spidey- I hope you’re right man. I would be really excited if I could hit a 3,4,5 something total. that would be pretty incredible. DLing 500 would be rad.

WF- I know what you’re saying but with 531 you’re progressively hitting heavier weight. This week will be heavier weight/lower reps and the next week it goes up again. So i’ll be getting in heavy singles… we shall see though.

Ok so I got into the gym today for shoulders day. I’m thinking that I’m going to not do my training “weeks” in the traditional 7 day sense so that I can get in more workouts before the meet. I should be able to squeeze one extra week of training out of my time this way.

225 x 5 (i might have over estimated my max at being 275 lol… these were HEAVY! and my shoulder press sucks)

pretty decent workout. I hit the gym this morning totally fasted and I think my workout suffered a little bit. Not too bad though. Looking forward to some DL’s tomorrow. I’ll catch up on the logs tomorrow as well. Take it easy

long day today. Started class again.

Had class from 9 till 4 and then was stuck in traffic for 40 minutes on a 10 mile transit (the worst ever!) and then had to work an event at 5:30 till 9. I had an apple, two shakes and a chicken kabob plate with extra chicken from this greek place… but nothing within 2-3 hours of the gym.

was short on time today so I cut the accessory work down to 3 sets of 10 instead of 5.

DeadLifts 531

360 x 6 (lol. these felt like booty. my hip/groin was starting to hurt so I stopped at 6)

GHR:

Lunges: used a barbell this time instead of DB’s

Preacher Curls w/ EZ:

leg levers:

and done. Gym trip didnt feel that great. My knee is a little sore so I’m icing it now and watchin tv. Gonna hit the gym early tomorrow and then I have class after that. BW was 216 today. I keep gaining weight… WFT?

MiM- yeah that is a pretty simple solution but I’m just trying to keep track of my weight a little bit. I don’t want to get back up to 220 cause it didn’t feel good on my knees and my right knee is already acting up :frowning:

Bug- yeah I was 216. Since I’ve added the coconut oil to my diet (and a fee free range meats here and there) I’ve gone from a consistent 212 up to 216-217? Not really sure what’s going on with that. Yeah and im 5’11" I feel like I’m gaining a little bit of size in back/legs and shoulders (maybe shoulders is wishful thinking cause they’re my worst part) but it’s just kinda strange cause my cals can’t be over 3,000 a day and it appears that I’ve put on almost 5lbs in the last 2 weeks? Weird. Oh and I started taking Receptromax during that timeframe as well? That’s the only real things that I’ve changed.

WhiteFlash- I’m trying to come up a little bit. A little bit of extra curls and tricep push downs never hurt anyone :slight_smile:

Interesting. I started losing weight/fat/water noticeably about 6-7 days after starting the above… well as long as it’s good weight, that’s the point, right!? Keep us updated.

I feel you on the extra arm work my measily arms are only 16 inches :frowning:

If you haven’t changed any of your food since adding VCO, you could be adding a significant amount of calories with a few servings of coconut oil. I suspect you know this but since you’re putting on weight it bears mentioning.

My personal opinion is that signing up for a PL comp is making you fat, you have to be fat to PL doncha know. Wouldn’t be shocked if you barely make it under the 242 class by the time of the comp.

Just catching up with my CA neighbor. Good grief on that deadlift PR. And it sounds like you are headed toward having to buy everything custom with regards to the chest. Or better learn to take in some huge shirts!

scj- To address your comment correctly… I know what you’re saying. I have added in 2 tablespoons of VCO a day and which is less than 300 cals a day extra. I dont think that would be enough to cause this weight gain? But good looking out bud

ok so today is an off day for me. Gonna hit the gym tomorrow for Chest and hopefully smash some Bench. My fiance got a raise today (yay!) and also found out that when her firm signs this new contract that she’s going to be doing the interior design for a national chain restaurant! Pretty bad ass. So anytime one of them is franchised out they will have to be putting her work into their place. Super cool. Tonight is going to be a celebration night. Trying to decide if I’m going to buy steaks and a nice bottle of wine to make dinner for her or take her out for sushi?
