Body Blade?

I was getting some ART work done the other day, and the Body Blade was suggested to me as a good rehab/prehab device. Has anyone used one of these before or has heard anything about them?

The website looks gimmicky, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

That honestly sounds like a really vague recommendation.

I also can’t see why there would be any advantage over regular dumbells. I know, it “oscillates” - until I hear something from a fitness expert I respect, I remain skeptical.

I don’t know, but a website that tells you to “unleash the power of your core” just doesn’t seem right to me. Also, have you looked at the bodyweight charts? The highest weight for males that is taken into consideration is 150+ pounds. I don’t know about you, but that seems a bit low to me.

Looks like a slow twitch building nightmare at first glance

The bodyblade is proprioceptive training device. Its main purpose is to teach your scapula to maintain a more biomechanically advantageos position. The oscillations require your scapula and shoulder girdle to adjust and readjust to the vibrations. It is not a replacement for dumbbells but will increase sensory feedback to your joint mechano and proprioceptors.
