Bobbi's Got a Brand New Bag

Thanks ya’ll. We think I’m getting a stress fracture in my foot though. haha fantastic. If it isn’t one thing it’s another. Ah well, today is speed bench and I guess my shoulders will get quite a blasting since I can hit them seated. Work AROUND work AROUND.

PRs like crazy.

Wicked DLs, I’m envious… I mean, proud of you ;D

Or does a max effort DL attempt make you have to pee for some reason?
Yes. It happens on max pulls and squats. Especially if you’re 40+ and have had kids. Most of us learn that the hard way, .
Wetting yourself. Sounds like another good reason to be a sub maximal rep whore.

Sorry about that foot Bobbi.

3 Upper PRs today, one inspired by a PW member  http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2011/01/san-diego-powerlifting-de-upper-week-12.html

work it.

and damn girl you’re in smelling distance of the 140’s. big dog!

Yea but I’m cleaning up my diet a bit so I shouldn’t gain much more for a while but we’ll see. I’m not fretting over my weight for once. Especially when my weightlifting partners keep asking me if I’m 165 yet.lol

great benching all round Bobbi.

Strong work in here. Sorry about the foot. That bites. I know about that first-hand and will be watching your work arounds.

Thanks guys. Though someone told me the bar I benched with is light so womp womp.lol

My squat still sucks donkey balls but at least it’s 20lbs better than it was. Goal is still 185 by the end of March. http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2011/02/san-diego-powerlifting-me-lower-week-12.html

I’m also going to start putting a serious focus on recovery and we’re planning a new diet that is paleo-esq. I’ll be documenting the changes and how I feel/perform so that I can keep track of what works and what doesn’t.

looking forward to read up on the diet results.

and PRs once again - you reminded me that if I want to get better at squats I gotta do them. Squats for me tonight.

Last night we spent over an hour working on my neck and back and stretching my shoulders. I was having trouble getting my hands under the bar for squat - that’s how f’d my shoulders are right now. And my mid back is so tight I couldn’t even lay on the foam roller. Much rehab needed. Waaaaargarble

Who’s the “we” in planning a new diet?

Yes, MUCH rehab, you’re sounding broken up on me girl.
Well, if that’s what you want to call broken with all the PRs in here.

I’m always interested in diet. Nice job working around the injuries and such.

stress fracture?? what?? :{ no!! that sucks :{ and I’m sorry to hear about the back tightness, shoulder stuff too :{ well. :{

Eh it’s all good. C says she’s going to start doing work on me every night and get me back to baseline. No biggie.

We just moved all of the heavy stuff last night up 2 flights of stairs - it was horrible. Hire movers! It’s worth it. Now I’m trying to crush food in an attempt to rapidly recover for heavy bench later today - eek!

Yey I still managed some PRs! http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2011/02/san-diego-powerlifting-me-bench-week-12.html

Video of the 165 bench is up.

A 20 lb. PR on bench is just ASTOUNDING. Wow!

Nice work in here Bobbi. A 20lb PR is no joke!

I’m interested in seeing how the diet works for you. I need to get myself in check too!

Yey i can log in on my droid! Thanks kimba and masch. We just moved and don’t have net yet but I’ll get up the 155 and 175 miss vid when we do. I REALLY wanted 175 but touched too high. If i could do 135x12 i shoudl have gotten 175. Rar! Something for next time.

Oh and we went grocery shopping last night and now our fridge is stocked with healthy foods!

2 big porterhouse steaks, 2 teriyaki chicken breasts, 2 steelhead trout filets, bacon, eggs, salad fixings, tuna, applesauce and lots of fresh fruit! Mmm
