When I do a meet it’ll be raw. I take the same wide stance either way because that’s how I’m being taught. I used to squat Oly style only. The new wide stance was tearing up my groin raw so I bought the briefs (Anderson Powerlifting) to help during training. I train both raw and in briefs I just don’t record everything I do raw. USPA has raw, single and multi ply and chances are that will be the fed for my first meet since my team competes there (single and multi). I’m in no hurry to compete. I’m still learning form on all of the lifts. For now I just want to get stronger and continue improving technique.

I should probably note that the briefs are not very tight. They’re really easy to get on, snug on my quads but totally loose in the hips. I wear compression shorts under them to make them fit a little better. I was going to have them brought in but then I realized it doesn’t matter right now because the groin pain is gone and that was the whole point of getting them. Hopefully, because this is the year of the leg, I’ll just grow into them over time. But yea, they definitely don’t fit like they should if I were planning to compete in them.

squat looks way tooo easy for you. I can see how loose those briefs are around the hips, glad they are supporting you.

Aw thanks! I got some really detailed responses to my bench form on facebook so I’ll be incorporating those tips as I go. Up until this point all of my benching has been flat with very little leg drive.
Today I set up like the video for the first time and had a pretty big PR ![]()

haha damn i think so. last time i checked i was sitting around 130 and i’ve been eating at a deficit lately so i’m probably right around the 130 mark still.
what weight are you gonna try to compete at?

I’m not in a hurry to compete but cutting is second nature so I’ll compete where ever I think I’ll do best. I could be 132 tonight or 123 in 10 days like cake so…yah ![]()
Edit: I should add that I plan on being 145-150 by the end of the year (Year of the Leg!) so it’ll probably be the 132s.

Haha I know right! But I’m planning to put the majority of the weight on in the lower half and right now I’m a size 2/4 so I think I have some room to grow without looking too big. Plus I’m getting the football itch again…
