Last night I tried 5s and it went 5x25, 35, 45, but the 45s were ugly, so I went down to 40s and got 8x40, 6x40.
The problem is that the weights go in increments of 5…

brute - you don’t need a year of the leg, you need a year of the bench!
kimba - I was very excited to find the 100lb plate, the 25 behind the head is too easy. HOOYAH
masch - This is one of the most successful strength protocols I’ve ever used with clients or myself. 4-6 rep range for 3 sets and at least 12 total. Staying at a weight until you can get 6 and then making the 5lb jump. Should be able to get 3-4 after the jump, then stay until 6 and so on and so forth.
So with 40s your sets may look like this 6/6/5 and then the next week you jump to 45s and get 5/4/3 so you stay until you get 6 and then jump to 50s for lets say 4/3/3/2. The extra set of 2 because you have to get at least 12 total. And you stay until you can get 6 on the first set before jumping to 55s. Make sense?

Cool post on cutting without cardio. I need to give something like this a try because I LOVE to lift so would much prefer to do it that way if I could. Could even do the gym twice a day for a bit…
100lb plank for a minute beechezz! After reading in pmpm’s log that she knew a 148er who could do 100lb for 2 minutes I had to give it a go.
