Bobbi's Got a Brand New Bag

Hey guys! I got up the workout and a video of the whole team doing rack pulls from lightest to heaviest…so of course I’m first. haha. But you should stick around to see some of the beasties on my team! http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2010/11/westside-powerlifting-me-lower-week-3.html

I basically just watched the vid and went: “Would have sex with, would not have sex with, would definitely have sex with, would not have sex with…” Starting from lightest to heaviest of course wink, wink

Ricardo is a beast!

Sled drag. Want to do that sooooo bad! I’m thinking of asking Santa (aka Mom) for the Nike Sparq power sled. Might be the closest I will ever get to actually pulling a sled, as well as the only one i might be able to carry around.

Anyways, nice work!

Haha nice. Ricardo is a strong teddy bear.lol.

On the sparq sled - I like sparq and their training methods but I think you might be dissapointed with that sled/bag. It’s just a bag that you put things in and it’s not really meant to hold a lot of weight.

I think you’ll be surprised by how much weight you can move. For instance, our sled weighs I would guess no more than 20lbs, I put a 45lb plate on it and take off in basically a full sprint. If I want to feel like I’m working I’ll use 2 plates and I’ve pulled up to 4 plates. I’m sure you’re just as strong in that way and could do the same.

You may be dissapointed with how little the sparq bag/sled can handle. You say it’s easy to carry around but you’ll have to carry around weight to put in it anyway. You can get a metal sled that is lightweight and easy to keep in your trunk that will hold a lot more and have more versatility. Obviously you know what’s best for you, just thought as a buddy I’d share my experience. Something to think about before you buy.

adam’s cute! so is that bobbi girl.

neat vid:)

No thank you so much for giving me the 411 on the Sparq! And I’ll def take your word for it. I live in NYC though, and I don’t have a car (or a license for that matter), so it will def have to be something I can carry around.

I did see that it was basically a nylon bag, and I was dubious whether it would sustain a thorough pounding (hi-o!). Anyways, I saw a bunch others too that looked light weight, maybe 20-30lbs, which is like the weight of a toddler…and if women can carry around kids, well, I can carry around a sled, right?

This is the other one I was vying. A bit pricey, but you can push AND pull!

Anyways, my fella is pretty handy and said with his chest all puffed up “I’ll make you a sled mama, and it’ll be the best sled you’ve ever seen” Lol! I just smiled and said “Ok”

I just read through this whole log, and man you’re doing some awesome shit. I also hadn’t realized you were taking a BJJ class, im not sure what I thought you did, but gi? Yipee! Can we have more words on it? You’re in SD there is a lot of good BJJ out there. Can I ask what school you’re going to? Maybe a brief (I know you’re good at that) history of your comabt sports/mma history?

Hey thanks buddy. There are some awesome BJJ schools/teachers here. I took a little time off but I’ll be going back soon. I go here right now and train with Mauricio and Cadu http://www.theboxingclub.net/Jiu-Jitsu/World-Class-Instruction/main/index.html

I don’t really want to air out my fighting history, but I’ve been doing it a long time. I’d be happy to talk about bjj with you whenever

Thanksgiving day lift from 9am-1pm kicked ass and took names! http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2010/11/westside-powerlifting-me-bench-week-3.html

congrats on the PR! and those are strong face pulls

can’t see the victory vid yet so I’ll drop by laterz.

Got the video up! http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2010/11/westside-powerlifting-2-board-press-pr.html

Very awesome board press video.

I am so interested in your squat training. It sounds similar to what I’m trying to do – get the hammies/glutes to make this lift happen, not quads.

Speed dead with chains a lot more than I thought I could do yeah! http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2010/11/westside-powerlifting-de-lower-week-3.html

Also gotta give props to my BUCKEYES for laying it down on little blue today!

Set a PR in the squat! Also some pics of hot chicks squatting, what do you think? http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2010/12/westside-powerlifting-me-lower-week-4.html

Good work on the PR! Pink is my fave color but I really can’t stand the heels Coco is wearing in that pic. I want to physically yank them off every time I see the pic lol.

haha yea but you gotta admit that girl has a BIG OL BOOTY

yeah for the squat!

personally I love me a nice round ass but her whole get up is too skanky. Not sure if pink helps on squats but I heard from Oro that pigtails help on the deadlifts

Big deadlift PR for me and an ooooooold (but awesome) picture! http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2010/12/westside-powerlifting-me-lower-pr.html

A four plate deadlift and a cute baby picture. Full of win 'round here!

Now I really, really want a four plate deadlift.
