Hahhhh hahahahaha that’s good stuff. Gotta love the kids

So quick update… 2 weeks in on the metformin and ive drastically cut carbohydrates per doctor orders. At the end of my last blast I was 197 lbs. Since then I dropped down to 193 lbs. Now that ive been taking metformin and have dropped carb intake I’m down to 189 lbs. Shredded. I have been researching weight gain on low carbohydrate diets and found some information about water retention in relation to carb intake. I never tied the two together before. I always thought about sodium in regards to water retention. I read last night that carbs cause water retention and for every one gram of carbs you retain 3 grams of water. Thats one hell of a ratio of you ask me. That explains the weight loss and the fact that I’m more shredded than ever.

That’s really interesting! I feel so much better when I cut carbs to extremely low amounts. I just have more energy. How do you feel on metformin? I’ve been meaning to try out for a while just too busy lately to do the research.

I dont have much to say about metformin. Not really sure what its doing. I know I feel great right now. My shoulder pain has subsided completely and ive been in the gym all week. Libido is awesome. Just feeling good all around. I’m sure I’ll find some well meaning way to screw that up but YOLO. LOL

What positive benefits have you seen?

Change in insulin sensitivity, which I guess is it’s primary function

Am 42. All I read is huge benefits from it. I am not pre diabetic or anything.

The thing is once I go on it I plan to take it for life and you’re talking about at least another 40 years of it so not sure if I should start now or wait another decade.

why would you not want the benefits right now? You might be able to fix something right now that will be so broken in 10 years it can’t be fixed. It’s no different than popping a one-a-day everyday. I’ve been taking 1000mg/day for just over a year and I honestly feel no different but my blood tests come back awesome. My PCP smile and thinks its him, haha

I read it’s one of the most studied drugs out there. I definitely want to get on it asap myself.

I starting taking in May. Had bad heart echo in July and stopped.
Messaged cardio yesterday and he said metformin has no affect in heart function. Basically gave green light. I will wait a few weeks. Recently started a beta blocker. Dr adding ACE soon for my mild cardiomyopathy. I don’t want to confuse symptoms on what’s causing what.

I buy mine from india dirt cheap buy the largest qty they will ship to save on shipping. I also pay the 5 dollar insurance if customs takes the package they reship for free.

Very interesting. How long does that last you and for around how much? (if you’re comfortable answering that of course)

360 pills @ 500mg time released are .28 cents each. 20 to ship and 5 for insurance You can order more this is the cheapest they sell for. HTH

That’s amazing! Thank you for that

So I’m still running the metformin and three weeks in to keto dieting. Its absolutely amazing. I never knew how carbohydrates were affecting me so negatively. I always thought clean carbs were good to go but in three weeks without carbs I’m more cut and chiseled then ive ever been in my life. I’m more awake and alert than I have been in years. My wife and her family are all talking about going on the keto diet now. Based on what ive seen so far keto is more powerful than anavar for cutting. I look forward to running my next blast with this diet.

I know it’s early but please keep me updated on how the metformin is going. @hrdlvn was nice enough to school me on it’s effects and I’m definitely picking some up soon.

Keto had been a life changer for me as well. I found that on it I have so much more energy and no highs and lows throughout the day. It’s like the opposite of how I thought things worked. I was able to lose 30 lbs in 7 weeks and keep the weight off. I stated about 4 months before I started TRT and I’ve been able to gain lots of muscle while on it. Much more than I would have expected was possible. I’m sure there are people who keto may not be right for but man it’s been such a blessing for me. Glad to hear you’re getting great results! I hope to look like your profile pic soon lol

@dextermorgan, do you drink alcohol regularly?
