You got me by 20. I think I can learn from your warm up… I’ve been doing triples sometimes 3x3 then max attempt. I’ll try your way. First time, I’ll stop at 500 to see how it feels… I’m too old, too easily injured.

The insulin response was greater than could be explained by the glucose response for all meals except apples. Milk was a particularly potent insulin secretagogue; the observed insulin response was approximately 5-fold greater than would be anticipated from the glucose response. for deadlift warmups yeah i like doing only 1 rep on a max attempt because it takes so much energy on the max attempts especially when they are grinding 1rep maxes you need all the energy you can get. I dont know if its the best way but its worked ok so far

Man. I too had been out of your log for too long. Your training weights are ridicilious and your recent shots seem to show great progress, the back shot your using for your profile is great. Your log just makes me think - damn, I need to get heavier asap!

haha thanks man, how heavy are you now? I had to gain a lot of weight to even look filled out lol in my profile i have a pic the first time i got to 210 and i was tiny

Im hoping in order to have some abs i dont have to go lower then 220-225 at first i thought it would end up being in the 210-215 range but progress is still happenning and my weight is not going down much

I’m about 195/196 mornign weight at the moment… 3 weeks or so back I was 198 but I have definitely carried on gaining and gotten a little leaner since then due to increased cardio and ever-cleaner diet overall. I’m 5ft 10" so to be near any sort of ‘potential’ I’d probably have to hit 230~ or so… first step… get up past 200 morning weight.

Have you made that pudding yet?

Your that lean at 195? shit dude thats impressive, if you got to 230 at that with that leanness you have now youd be a pure beast man.

oh yeah man, its good whenever the progress just keeps on coming. Im just hoping now that ill be a little heavier then i thought id be when Im done. I think Im about 15lbs of total bw away from being where id like to be give or take a few which puts me at 225.

I think what helped me the most and quite possibly the secret of this endevor is to focus more on being consistent then getting huggggge or getting ripppped lol. Also taking one day at a time is the way to go

@blackagger: I’m really not as lean as I’d like man! Love handle fat is a problem. Waist is probably a little under 34"… haven’t measured for awhile, I appreciate the comment all the same and hope I will begin to gradually look “beasttmode” as I go up past 210+ at similar bodyfat.

how do you measure your waist?

Im not even lean yet, just measured td at 13% and mines 33 inch

Just around the smallest part… last time I checked the largest part was like 35"ish, I think I’ve lost fat but yeah I don’t have a tiny ass waist anymore like I did when I weighed 133. lol. think your just leaner then me dude… no idea on my bodyfat I mostly just get it lovehandle area which messes up any sort of v-taper badly… do get it on my stomach too but visible abs in the mirror so not a ton… but still not very lean. Considering how clean I eat I should be leaner… maybe I should blame my dextrose in my workout shakes.

tomorrow is going to be a low-moderate carb day then from then on im going to be eating a certain amount of macros every single day, think ill start at 290c and 230p, and 50g fat

Ok i re-evaluated my diet and based it on layne nortons ultimate cutting diet article

so instead of going 600 cals under maintenance I am going 900 under because i am not doing cardio and if i do itl only be 1 session so the calories balance out

1.2g protein per lb
17% cals from fats
rest from carbs

brings my macro total to
290g protein
240g carb
50g fat

no more free meals, it has to fit into these macros for the day and if i can im going to do this all of the time

I will have a re-feed after every 6 days right now then have them more frequent as macros etc get lower

this will deffinitely be similar to a contest type strategy but im not here to mess around

I will be starting this tomorrow as I will be going slightly lower calories then normal today because i had a big free meal last night.

I dont even like eating junk type food anymore - i like the idea of superior body comp a lot more and i think itl be a good trade in the end

when i started crunching the numbers for this i was surprised how low my carbs were but o well ill live ;D

when i do remove calories i will be removing 25g of either carbs or protein at a time because that accounts for 100 cals.

Instead of taking away frood i will probably just add cardio at least for a while.

going to try and get this transformation done before Janurary, so far Im on the right track and its a definite possibility
